First PC Build - Warning, thread will have blunders.

It's a total shambles, hoping it will be all good later as I need to make the purchase today really to make sure it's delivered by Friday

Hmm true, might try it

Edit, nope can't do that, just realised, I still need to move money over from my savings account to my current account first. And I can't access either

Can't do that! Can't access my savings account to put the money into current account.

Be fuming if I have to wait till next weekend to build this thing!!!

But my knight in shining armour, who goes by the name of 'Plec' looked after me and tutored me in to installing a new graphics card and heat sink and OCing my processor. Thing which I never thought would happen. It was a miracle.
Hey Nathan, my armour is bit rusty nowadays as work has been all consuming. I still lurk in the evening when i have time - it's fun to guess how much @orbitalwalsh will steadily push people over their original budget :D

You've certainly chosen a great time to upgrade; the 2700/x470 combo is a great choice coupled with high speed memory and you've been guided towards quality components with decent warranties so you should have another system that will last you years.

Glad to see @orbitalwalsh dodged a bullet for you - 'Thermal Grizzly Liquid Metal' would not have been the best introduction to a first build. Although, it would have made the 'build walk-through' more suspenseful...

You'll be pleased to learn it will be a 'push-pin free' build too.

/Off topic - QPR looking relatively safe unlike our season :/

Well well well, Plec as i live and breathe!
Glad to hear I've not been lead astray (apart from budget)! Keep your eyes peeled for a build attempt this weekend..

I must say, I'd appreciate Mark Hughes being relegated!
