might be fly tipping as its not their own property. If it's rented technically maybe might be fly tipping though as they are dumping stuff on other peoples land. So it might be fly tipping.
you serious? maybe they are tress passing too, could even be burglary since they don't own the house

Much better response than I could muster
he kind of has a point, the landlord would probably consider it "fly tipping" and want it moved.

doubt the council really care though.

someone near me has planks of wood or something just laying at there front door for months.... there's all mould crap growing all over the path too.....

I'd be brushing that crap away and brushing a bucket of bleach all over the path.

some people just don't seem to care.

one of my neighbours has a double bed on his balcony since the summer

If it's on their own property/property tey rent it's not fly tipping, it may however be something for environmental health at the council to look into if it is actually encouraging rats (although unless there is food that seems unlikely in the short term).

At this time of year it's often a pain in the neck to get into your local tip even before any covid restrictions so unless they really are causing rats I'd give them some leeway for a few weeks, certainly I wouldn't go causing them trouble immediately just for a bit of rubbish.

Mind you I'm saying this knowing I've got a pile of things like old plant pots, concrete bags that have set solid, and crap wood in my back garden (not causing rats, and out of sight), that I've not been able to get rid of down the tip for a few months because of a combination of covid restrictions (booking a slot a week or two in advance is difficult if you're not sure you'll be around/able to make it within a 15 minute window and then get everything unloaded within 10 minutes), and the fact that the normal route to the tip is closed making it considerably harder to reach for me.

Can you not book the day before? I know I can e.g. going tomorrow morning

Whenever I tried for our one it was full for the week :( (fairly large town and they were keep very strict limits on the number of vehicles on site).
I've been under the weather on and off for a while, so it's not been possible to guess a week in advance if i'm going to be able to make a specific time slot, it's not actually a great deal just either heavy (bags of gone off postcrete), and things like flower pots, but I need to be able to shift them in/out of the car on the day.
The other reason i've not got round to it is the primary access to the local tip is currently closed (and will be for months), and the alternative route takes about 15 minutes each way (it's almost faster to go to the tip in the next town), so fitting the trip in during it's opening hours is a little more fiddly as I normally take a 30 second diversion down to reach it on the way in or out of town and would take a few bits at a time (and they're currently asking people to only go if strictly necessary/have a full load).
