I have, yesterday, thats why this is all back at the top. Then Quentin Whatsisface and co jumped in and started playing their old records again.

So I'll re-iterate, I'm quite happy with my purchase. Thanks to anyone who offered good advice, to those who offered advice that I chose not to adhere to or that that didn't comply with my wants and needs, thank you too.

Ultimately if the car turns out to be a pile of junk then I only have myself to blame, but as it is I'm delighted with it and it's the nicest car that I've ever owned.

This statement ends the discussion, if someone could close the thread and delete any snidey and unhelpful posts that appear after this one I'd appreciate it.

on a serious note, if you enjoy the car, congratulations. new can of course be much better than second hand, but only if you're spending £30+k..
if that was you in the pics, then this car really does scream mid-life crisis. if you bought an audi a4 (or similar) this would certainly not have been the case.
the thing is, in a year or so the 09 plate will mean nothing, and you'll be left with a crappy car that's not a great deal..

regarding you thinking that the audi was 'above you', comparing it to Rolex and Armani.. it's an audi, not a bleeding aston!

I think we have found the problem, the OP is a bit dim!

He was useing your analogy, he is saying, and he is quiet right in doing so, that you have paid Giorgio Armani money for a rubbish suit from Matalan. You have been ripped off etc etc.

Get it now, or do you need further explanation?

lol.... just leave the old man alone :) his money his choice... how many people do you see spending money on a kia.... and enjoying it? it's a focus not a bad car and if he likes it it's ok with me... should be the same with you lot...
 
TBH it's not so much the car, it's the infantile fingers in ears 'I'm not listening' thing that was keeping me entertained :D

Anyway I've had my fun, putting my serious hat on I'm glad you are happy with your slightly insane purchase. As long as you're happy it doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks :)
