I considered the Evo, scooby etc when I bought the RS. However, (and I think Simon is thinking along the same lines) the rarity factor of the RS was a major appeal to me. I like driving something that's not a common sight on the roads: it seems that around manchester every 18yr old drives a scooby or an evo of some description.

I didn't see so many around Bolton, but in Rochdale, I see at least 3 modified jap motors driven by young lads every day... and that's just around where I live :eek:

The chav factor is stupidly high :(
 
I had a 53 (October 03 :)) RS, sold it last April for £18,000. Was a fantastic car to drive, it put a grin on my face everytime I put my foot down. Now I have to put up with driving aroung in my other halfs Pug 206 :(. I had two problems with my RS, firstly I had to have the front passenger-side suspension arm changed as it was causing a knocking sound when turning the steering wheel. Secondly I had to have the radio unit replaced as it was draining the battery when powered off, I think a few people had this problem. Aside from that, it was a dream to own and I'd love another one.
 
4wd didn't even come into my choice for a next car, the celica just happened to have it.

I do like it thou, considering the wet weather and rubbish roads we have here.
 
lol I don't even bother putting my foot down. Even with the standard 225 wide wheels it still spins if you try and pull away at speed and the TC reigns the power back in. Totally useless

I'm not too fussed though as I didn't buy the Saab with performance in mind, but for a performance car i'd never accept FWD.
