Folding@home News 17th - 24th September

depending on weather my MOT fails or not and if I can get cheaper insurance, I *might* have sourced a 980ti... not 100% sure though yet so we'll see :)

Not sure on that, worth a try though, you could probably tell if it worked by feeling the temperature of back of the vga card before logging on, if fah been running it should be quite toasty :) Got a feeling though, that most apps load only after login, I would be interested to know.

don't think hes using the 980s though, he said hell set 4 up when he gets back , even that is a mass amount of points:D

as for folding running before loggin, its possible I think I did read about it some were , could have been hard forum

Yes card count is correct chaps. You are wrong about the 980ti's though, I have been using them already, my test build from warships log was so I could have them running while I wait for my wc gear to arrive ;)
Before I came back to sea I was running the 980's and 970's as often as I could get away with it. My thoughts are to get Midas back in the game and mount cards to spare slots while I work on warships rig.
I will be able to use my x79 motherboard and my psu from warships to keep me on track also.
I'll post you guys some pictures soon as I'll be flying home on Thursday :D

well guys after just been done over ive just lost out on the money I had left to last me to payday so now all I can do is sell of a little of my computer stuff to get some money till payday.
 
ripped of on gumtree. he made it so were I met him I have no way of finding who he really , inside some big building complex were you need to be let inside by pressing a button at the gate. I wouldn't even know how to get back inside or who to ask for.

basic story... each year I chop and change my x-mas lights, I bought some in a large bundle as fully working , I wasn't planning on keeping them all, already had people lined up to offload some to but now not one of them work , well about 20 leds in one lights up.

his last reply " you could have blown them up init " some little trampy scruff from Manchester

my only option now is closer to Christmas buy a 100 meter roll of rope light and as I remove the old rope light fasten the new stuff to it and try and recoup some cash by selling them on ebay

im trying to hang onto my 970 , if I sell my 290 and evga psu I still have a 500w enermax to run m 970. I can even sell my 4690k set up and run my z77 i3 set up and always add another gpu to it

Damn, that's rough with Christmas coming up too :( Wish I had some cash spare, I'd buy them and store them until you'd got the same to buy them back :( October and December are my expensive months.

mot £40
mot reapirs, theres a few just not sure how many they'll fail it on , I save cash by fixing my car my self, still have to buy the parts though
car tax £293 ish?

well , my 970 sold on ebay :( but I guess it means I shouldn't have to sell my other gpu now. i can always pick up a 7970 / 280x again and keep my 290! the 280x does between 150 - 170 k ppd;. just have to see my my MOT turns out.

So what do you have in total for folding with? If you can afford the leccy I'd happily donate you a gtx 680, choice of Asus ref cooler version or the direct cuII version. You are a great team 10 member and sad to hear of your bad luck. If you'd rather wait for a more efficient card then I'll understand.
