Folding@home News 24th September - 1st October

I'm going to fall behind slightly, my machine didnt auto-boot up at all over the weekend :mad:
Strange thing is it booted up fine this morning, so will have to take a look later to see if Sat/Sun have a separate setting.

I'm just giving you a head start :p

The red army have completed Milkyway (just waiting for validation to get me another Bozo) and are now marching on Moo for another Bozo by early December. The boys in green are currently checking asteroids and about to find Cobalt and will stay until either the fast wu's run out or I get to Palladium. When they move they will go back to Einstein for a consolidation Bozo.

Once these are done and I don't find any other Boinc gpu projects to keep me warm I will be folding. So that could be by Christmas !

If you get really cold there's always GIMPs, and currently your conquest of Palladium evolves trampling all over me, don't think I can have that :p

I think I did look at GIMPS last year, not exactly click and forget is it :eek:
Might have a play with a 750Ti when I get time to see what's what before I ruin a 780Ti :rolleyes:

I'll be parking on a Gibson so you and MGP will just have to go to Gibson+1 if you haven't already got there. Otherwise put the mat out and I'll wipe my feet first :D
 
I dunno what that is?? Something weird is going on just checked my 980 and 780 machines just now and only one card on each is folding the other one says ready/download??
 
what does the log show? has it completed a work unit and is waiting for another to download. k boost boosts your card upto its boost speed, if its not turned on then turn it on, youll get more ppd

seems there is a new user, nippyGSY , hes only done 5 work units and already earned 208k points from 5, bouns doesn't even kick in till you've done 10 work units, hes either already got a passkey and another username or he has some powerfull gpus!!

ok own up, whos nippygsy? 166k ppd in one update and that's with only 7 work units done, who ever it is they must already have a passkey to be getting that many points

They have done another 49 WU's for Default (includes all those WU returned without valid team number). The last one of those was yesterday morning so hopefully has team 10 set on all machines now.
