Folding@Home News - Attention Single-Machine Crunchers

ok everyone who asked so far has now been added - I've already started on adding the names to the workbook so the news won't take all Thursday to actually produce :p

gonna be a nice bit of competition shaping up here :)


oh and looks like "stex" is having a few stability issues too - the main stats have him down as doing 5 WUs for a grand total of 0 points :o

Another new recruit here from the beat the Russkis campaign. Can you put me on the list please - name is Putty - should complete my first wossname today :D
 
Might be an idea to take me off the single crunchers list by the way. I have a few people folding under my name now and next week I will have my desktop crunching away permanently as well.

ahh yes thanks for the reminder - thought you may aswell stay on for the week just gone as you were still showing the same number of cores when I checked before the news

There should also be a new member called Excelsior (or something like that) he was interested in folding when I was talking about it and went of to install it himself... under Team 10 of course.
 
For some reason my active processes has gone up to 5 :confused:

Unless somebody is crunching for me (haven't seen any unusual results) I am still a single machine cruncher. Any ideas why it would think I have 5 cores/cpus?

nope can't see any reason - unless you've changed a machine number or reinstalled windows without backing up the registry key (but then you'd have 8 anyway)

conc reported extra clients showing in his stats despite neither of his macs dumping anything in that week so maybe just a stats bug :confused:

I guess it's not impossible that someone has started crunching under your name for team 10 - that'd be mighty annoying if so :o

If somebody had, I would notice strange results showing up. So far all the results that have been credited have come from me. :confused:

Oh well, I just wanted to make sure that you did not think I was cheating.
