Folding@Home News - Attention Single-Machine Crunchers

Hey, just popped on to see I am unclarified on the single crunchers list :). I can explain why!
I've been back home for afew days so my desktop computer has been crunching along with my laptop. The reason why it has read 3 cpus for so long is because my parents occasionally use my desktop when I'm not here (P4) and FAH is set to run as a service in the background.

For the next 3 weeks I will be back at university so it will be mostly my laptop again though, but after that I will probably be crunching away on both again :).

Not sure if I should be taken off the single crunchers list or not but if you deem it so then take me off it :p .

GFX: FX5500 256mb
 
it's not the size of the beast - it's how much you can leave it on that counts :D

just about to start the news so I'll add you now, I think maybe you've not quite made the team list yet but at least it'll all be ready for next week and a nice bonus :)


Corran I'm happy to leave you on the list as long as you don't mind being classed as a multi-cpu user, every time I've looked it's been showing 3 clients so i think it's only fair on the others

Could you take me off the single cruncher list please for the time being? Can b0rg me parent's pc for a couple of weeks as of Monday whilst they're away and have it running 24/7... :cool:

Oh yeah, there I am, with Huddy and oceaness. Good work :)

On a side note, lost a day of crunching due to a power surge earlier, annoying :mad:

Edit: also, thanks for all the hard work rich. I think the weekly updates are really good for the team.

Can you add me to the list please Rich.

I gave the pc that broke last week to a friend who's a technician to look at but he can't find out whats wrong and I can't afford to buy new parts to find out what part is broke so i'm stuck with a single machine, probably for a few months until I have some money to replace it. Hopefully with a Conroe. :)

Uhuh, his pc isnt bad (a64 3000) but he doesnt have it on much. I will be going round at the weekend to install fah as a service to get some more out of it, he's currently using the graphical client.

I'm planning a secret of borg of my sis' machine when she's out but I'm worried that the smelleron may overheat and that she may notice its slowness :(

Currently doing rather a lot of other projects for the BOINC stuff and rosetta is on overdrive mode, but I'll get signed up to FAH :)

Heh and I keep the list in alphabetical order.

Hey rich, can you remove from the list in the meantime? Currently upgrading and got no mobo at the moment, sold it \o/ :cool:
 
Single cruncher here :D Both cores of my 4400+ are being thrashed as we speak muahaha. Still waiting for a WU to finish so my name wont pop up until later on tonight. It should be SiriusB_[OcUK] but I will confirm it later :)
