Folding@Home News - Attention Single-Machine Crunchers

What webiste do you get your stats from for the news? because my sig, stanford and EXTREME overclocking resulats are all different, the stanford one is how many ive done up to now.

I use the stanford page as it's the most up to date

EOC only runs every 3 hours as the data page it's allowed to use is only updated by Stanford every 3 hours - bots can't use the cgi pages as it's too much of a drain on Stanfords servers

The sigs only update once a day - don't really see the need for more especially at a cost to one of our team-mates

Well the only way to get the number of cores from Stanford is to crawl through each member's stats page on the cgi pages - if Stanford detect a bot doing that then it's IP-ban time :o
Oh and I'm not volunteering to do it by hand :p

Glad you mentioned that before I go trying to crawl through Stanfords pages :D

So do you just snapshot:
http://fah-web.stanford.edu/teamstats/team10.html

every week at a set time and work out the stats from that?

how am i doing for my rig in sig?

2nd in singles. and 27th on the normal :D 4,024 points this week :D and an average of 575 PPD

nope I use this page

http://vspx27.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=teampage&teamnum=10

as I think you'll find the other page is only updated every 3 hours

I save the page (along with the EOC team summary page and EOC team overtake page - both used to compile the targets and threats) then copy and paste the member list into Excel (needs to come from IE as Firefox puts the whole lot in a single cell) then save as a Tab Delimited Text File to get rid of the formatting/hyperlinks.
I then re-open the file and sort by name - then copy the whole list into the main workbook and the magic begins :p

Add 'The_Alabama_Slamma' to the single machine lists please ;)

I want to test out my dual core 2.8

Dunc

Hi there, following this weeks stats, have added a second machine to my account to try and boost my production slightly, so can RobOC be removed from the single crunchers as from today.

Thanks!

Ahh way to go fellas!!!

I've made the changes ready for next week's news - fold on! :)

dunc - I assume you'll be running this alongside your "Dunc" cruncher and having your own little competition then? :D

And he's off and running!

Woohoo! Finished my first folding WU as a single machine cruncher!!!!

No longer a virgin, I....

And it only took 4 days!!!

Is that normal or is my machine a bit crap?

Ah, just found the protein name, I think. Does 'p2056_abeta_4mer' look about right (don't mean a thing to me!)

And I'm running BOINC on the same box (SETI and Einstein) so F@H is only getting 50% of the resources anyway.....

Oi Viking. That string is the name of the Wu. It's worth 192 points. For that to take 4 days is pretty poor. On what specification machine are you running?

Since it's splitting cycles with SETI its performance will be cut by a little more than half.

And it's running 'p1164_RIBO_H2O_froz' now, worth 574 points according to EM3. God alone knows how long that'll take then!! :D
