Any chance of being added to the list?

C2D running as much as possible for you guys. First 2 projects downloaded 10pm today.
yes no problem - I'll add you ready for next week's news, well unless I forget in which case you'll have to shout at me and remind me of it :p

welcome to the team :)

Well I have finally succumbed and switched to a C2D, hence Unforgiven will be running a dual core from here on.

I will still be running a single machine for now, so Rich could you please change my colour in the stats page?

I've had an initial look at an OC and I got up to [email protected] (6 hours dual prime stable) but it seems I had an EUE and so am back at stock for now until I get more time to fine tune.

Sure no worries - though if I understand correctly you'll be using both machines for a while? That would kinda rule you out of the single machine bit anyway

As for EUEs it may be memory timings need slackening off rather than the CPU causing it - or may even be coincidence that you just got a bad WU at the time

@dead_martyr - I'll add you ready for tonight's news too, that a single or multi core?

Sorry Rich, my previous post really wasn't clear. I meant to say it will just be the Conroe for me for now, my brother has got the Athlon64.

Although I can't rule out a borg attempt in the future... :)

Thanks.

mikemy stats , i havent completed a WU, 1day 8hrs to go last time i looked

Welcome to the team - that WU should put you stright in the charts at 468th!
That particular WU in not that great (other will give you more points per day - PPD) But if you are going to complete it in 3 days ish, you must has a mighty reasonalble rig :D

You'll get a personal stats page 3 hours (ish) after your first WU is submitted follow link below and click on your name when it appears.

Fold on good sir

its a shuttle with an xp4000 @ 2.85ghz, its going to be folding about 16hrs a day, rest of the time ill be doing stuff on it :]
one question, it has a semi-intermittent (spelling?) net connection, if i lose connection and the WU finishes, will it send data when my connection comes back on?

Yes - but the retry facitily drops in frequence as time progresses.
You might want to download another WU so when one finishes, you can start the next without needing to connect (depends how much user interaction you want, and how much you want to minimise down time.)

On Broadband at work (most of my farms pc's) and I just let them get on with it, as soon as WU finished it upload, downloads an new, off crunching again.

Have Dial up at home :o so have 8 threads (minimum two active at any one time on my 805) These I monitor each day to minimise downtime. Starting a third thread if I know one will end while I'm out at work. ;) User intensive but I'm an addict :D

well my router at home is annoying, it will generally work for a week then not renew my connection randomly, so it will be down until i get home from work, maximum time it could possibly be down would be 6ish hours if the worst happened, and my net went down as i walked out the front door and the WU finished at exactly the same time, (lots of if's) after 6hrs would it still upload happily?
