Yeah same name, havent finished first WU yet for folding@home (i think) its a box at work. Single core. Part of the seti@home team too... have 3 machines running that.
ahh cool - you're no stranger to the crazy world of distributed computing then :D

right I'm pretty sure I've added/removed/altered everyone as necessary so the news will follow shortly :)

Very good :) , but who beat you? :p

What exactly is stomping?

The reason that methinks I came second, is that I left my pc on, with no applications for a week during the holidays, whilst I was on holiday, 24/7 Folding @ 100 % :D

no more than what is expected of you!

now get out there and buy more PCs!

VeNTs tip of the day:
if you buy Small form factor PCs, you can fit more in each room!

As of now I'm on a single dual cored PC.

Might show up at first as being a few CPUs, depending on how F@h sees the returned WUs. That'll be because I've got all the part complete WUs from the borgs, and reinstalled them onto my single PC.

The secretaries are no more :(

As I can't find that pesky misnamed borg, I'm gonna leave it.

Could you add it to the single machine single core list Rich.

It'd be good to see how well it fares against all the others.

Cheers
Mark

i'm a multi machine cruncher for a bit, borged a few PC's and they all seem to be workin ok.

though this is only gonna be for a few months or so, then back to a single machine, probs single core cruncher :)

I installed the software today and am currently 32 percent of the way through my first Work Unit. I've just got it running on one core at the moment but may try 2 cores later in the week. 14 Minutes for 50000 steps, is that about right?

what WU are you crunching?

Haven't a clue, complete newb to this, maybe I should start a new thread.

Project: 3038 (Run 9, Clone 604, Gen 17)
Protein: p3038_supervillin-03

ok all updated - eventually :p

WoZZeR and platypus, I've left your machine type as unclarified for now - I suspect you both have dual cores but it may just be HT showing 2 rather than a true dual-core so have left it for now.

I'm happy to change it if you want to add more detail :)

News coming right up

Me :)

Just my PS3 crunching. Put F@H on my rather poor rig and it estimated 104 days to complete 1 WU!!!! Gave up on that idea :(
