Thats an IF you get more :D :p

I seem to be getting one after the other on my slower machines but the laptop which loves them keeps getting the bl**dy 56 pointers.. pain switching them all aboot

My other core is doing a reasonably-sized unit as well...

You're right behind me now though.

So what rigs you got? :p

P4 3.4 650 (24/7), P4 2.8 820 (work so 8hrs/5d and only one core used), 2800XP Barton (24/7), P4 1.7 740 (24/7ish), XP1800 (24/7), P4 2.8 with no HT can't remember the name off the top of my head, it's slow anyways (12hrs/7).

In 5 days i should have delivery of a X2 4400 which replaces the 1800XP, will be overclocked running both cores :D

I'll stop hyjacking the thread now :o

I wont stand a chance against all that. Even if I added all the PCs I have access to (XP2700, P-M 1.6, XP2200, Celeron 2.4, Sempron 3000 S754).

Well you'd best add all the machines you have to which you have access. Just to be on the safe side, ya' know? :p

Sempron isnt finished yet, but when it is that'll definitely be added (and overclocked to high hell)

P4b Northwood?

I was actually thinking of getting a cheap P4... you can get a 2.6c for about £50 now on that auction site, and overclocked they're fairly nice Folding CPUs.

Roll on QMDs. But you need good clocking ram (that does 240fsb+) or you'll lose most of the benefits.

I just use the software firewall to monitor outbound traffic.

Yeah, well I have Ad-Aware\Spybot S&D\Spywareblaster and AVG to take care of any crap that does manage to get on here :p

So I dont need to monitor outbound connections.

Possibly i've noticed that on WU's that P4's are generally strong on it is pretty poor for it's speed, i'm not sure of it's cache size or if there is particularly thermal issues with this cpu (it's currently at my mother in laws, who likes a very warm house) but it's about the same ppd as the 2800XP even when the XP is running folding & bbc climate! It's only got 512MB so i'll chuck a spare 512MB stick and see what it is like.

Project : 1481
-- AMD Athlon XP 2800+ -- (with Climate running)
Avg. Time / Frame : 29mn 43s - 176.39 ppd
-- P4 2.8 noHT Unknown --
Avg. Time / Frame : 30mn 16s - 173.18 ppd

The P-M and Celeron are laptops, and its unlikely that their owners will want F@H running on them.

The XP2200 is on 24\7, and the XP2700 is on about 3hrs a day, so they might help boost my points count - in fact the 2700 is the 3rd cpu on my current stats, the 2200 keeps erroring and I havent checked on it in a while.

That reminds me the 1800XP is in need of a reboot, been on for about 2-3 months solid, probably full of dust also. I should really sort something like logmein.com on it. But hey as long as i see tinkers on my stats pages every so often i don't care. It's a gonner soon anyways.

Did you find out what was causing the errors?

No idea, and when I purged F@H and started again it was doing the same thing after about 10-20% of a WU. Trashs the WU and gets another, ad infinitum. Possibly the PSU, as its a generic 300W, not 100% sure though as the 12v reads 11.89.

I had something similar to that it was an issue with a faulty RAM module. windows worked fine but anything more than just basic windows functions or high stress ie folding the machine was slow and unstable. (2800XP funnily enough)

Everything else runs fine. And the folding speed isnt slow...
