Thanks for the spec DD (and stan) - that 9x really helps keep the FSB down, which seam a good thing on unmodified 975 chipset boards.

Mines now Duel prime stable at (8x376) thanks to a bios update and a .15v increase on the MCH (stock on the CPU) my 667Geil is happy at 752 4,4,4,12 and for the first time i'm sub 20sec at Spi (19 actually :D )
Temps - 30 idle, 45-48 load, case 20 with Fans at ~60%

As I said below I'd like to improve on this (reseat the heatpipe cooling system) so I can drop the volts or up the OC but need a bit of time for that.

Got a few more tests to do tonight but will set it folding tonight and SMPing over the weekend if Broadband is up and running by then :D .

But most importantly my son is almost back to normal again so sleep is back in my life \0/

@ diogenese - Nice Tiffy their D, well earned after all the problems you've been having recently. How oftern are you completing WU's now? saw the first one on the EOC pages but should I be expecting a parp any time soon....

@ joeyjojo - not sure you've got enough ram in that duel quad?

@ DD - you might try taking the Voltage down on the CPU and up on the MCH to see if that helps. Don't know what cooling you have on the chipsets though.

Nearly 2 days of crunching and a 1760 pointer has gone ******* missing!

Should have dumped just a few hours after the first, so far no sign of it!

I demand to see the manager!

go back through your logs and note down the Project Run/Clone/Gen numbers - go back as far as you can and see if any are repeated, I've seen a few posts recently on FCF where people say they haven't had credit and it turns out the WU was already credited 2 days earlier (before the WU was even started :confused: ) so make sure it's not given you the same one twice or something :o
 
In vmware server the option to create a new virtual machine and most of the other options are blanked out... what am i doing wrong?
Which of the four setup files am i supposed to install... the console?

Neither virtual pc 2004 or 2007 will install linux anymore, they both did at one point. Now i just get graphical corruption and a really stretched resolution (despite setting it to a proper res). Windows works fine on it though.

This is what I used: VMware-server-installer-1.0.1-29996

Though it may say it can't install the server management bit because you don't have IIS - ignore that and install the console.

So if you run the installer again and choose "Modify" all the features are installed and none have red crosses through them?

Other than that I'm totally stumped - as growse said it sounds like you only have the connectivity tools for connecting to a running server :confused:

I've been doing quite a few of these recently but my 24hr average seems to be well down on what it should be :confused: I wonder if there's a problem with these?

Unfortunately I came out to Egypt yesterday and have no access to my logs to have them checked.

PS: I left most of the farm running as I was impatient to get my 7 figure Tiffy and didn't want to wait until I got back :o
