Good week for me.. My first 10k+ week so a new mile stone.


Question! Am I right in thinking that these new conroe processors will run 4 instances of folding?

Nope - they are proper dual-core rather than the single core with a load of slack that we'll call HT and pretend like we meant to do it :p

However they will run 2 instances and get 1000+ PPD for each instance with some basic overclocking and some decent WUs
/me tips hat to Intel for finally making something worth buying

The up and coming Kentsfield chips on the otherhand are a different matter - two Conroe's on the same chip - twice the fun and 4 times the crunchage :cool:

It's in the old sticky in the archive. We decided when writing the new one that not too many people used the diskless method and as such that section was omitted.
