One thing I don't think has been mentioned is Sandro's emergence. Earlier in the season he looked off the pace and prone to dallying on the ball too long but those problems seem to be behind him. I'd even goes so far as saying he looks like a complete midfielder, the boy has stamina, strength, tenacity matched with pace and ability on the ball.

He's still prone to the odd mistimed over exuberant tackle, but isn't in the same league as Wilson "yellow card waiting to happen" Palacios. He's worked himself up the pecking order so much that Huddlestone will have his work cut out to dislodge him. Kudos also to Jenas who is starting to look like the player that got called up for England in the past.

Not posting in here much, but don't let it surprise you that managers defend their players.

That's what Fergie did re: the Rooney thing and it's what Wenger does, Kenny does it, I'm of the opinion that good managers shouldn't publicly criticise their players.

Pot kettle black at people getting annoyed at mangers for this.

Meant to say earlier, Sandro is impressing me big time. He was great against Milan, and was fantastic again today, albeit not against quite the same level of competition :p

Sandro and Hudd could be a great centre pairing.

I've gone through this thread and to be honest, some people can count themselves lucky they weren't give infractions as well, people were losing their heads and should have taken a step back for a while.

Anyone who has a problem with a decision should contact the relevant Don direct, when an explanation can be given and not try to stir things up in the thread, this isn't on!! If a mistake has happened, then this can be rectified.

Thanks for checking things

as I said last night there was one bit that I did not know was folks having a bit of fun but with 20 pages to read through I think that is understandable

folks need to make things a bit clearer if they don't want misunderstandings, I will see what I can do to get them overturned or at least noted on but tbh an infraction means little

I still stand by the fact that I was lenient consdering the rubbish posted and am offended by suggestions that I am not fair

matter closed now but can anyone with problems please communicate by meail in the future and not post in the threads

Graham Poll seems to think Liverpool should have ended the game with 7 outfield players yesterday

Carragher, Maxi and Saurez the players that should have been sent off ( Saurez is believed to pulled Raf's hair in the melee)

Seems like its "best of 9 games" for the league title - including a 6-pointer.

The real challange starts now.

that is just ridiculous, only players that "could" have been sent off yesterday were Carra and Rafael

Have to say, the refs this weekend have basically summed up the desperate need for new refs to be properly educated and installed. We need to get rid of the ones we have. In the Arsenal game, the penalty decision was so laughably deluded I don't know whether he forgot he was the ref or just decided that he wants to decide the title race, the offside a few minutes later was the icing on the cake.

Also, not to send Carragher off was just as bad, but the worst decision of the weekend was not to send Rafael off, that was a career ender, disgusting tackle from a filthy player

You're forgetting the extra red cards that any indignant Man Utd fan thinks they're entitled to, and the free "red card this player" card that Ferguson got as a birthday present from Howard Webb. If you count those seperately that's two more sendings off. :p

oh get over it.

Me? Get over what? The fact that Rafael is a massive liaibility? That's my only post on the weekend's events, I'm hardly banging on about anything

Or the fact that the refs are making this race so much harder than it should be for Arsenal?

I don't know why all the talk is of Carragher. I can't stand the man but his wasn't as bad as Rafael's.

yep that big ol' conspiracy that you keep alluding to but won't come out and say. You think Rafael's a liability but to be fair you're an Arsenal fan and not overly used to winning things so we won't take that on board too much.

Conspiracy? What are you talking about? Are you just having a dig for no reason or is there something I actually typed (not that you imagined) that you disagree with?

I'm glad you added that hilarious quip though!!

Edit - You do realise the majority of this thread is people moaning about refs :s Why have you singled me out? A little odd.

Pretty good weekend of football....Liverpool doing us a massive favour in beating Utd:)...seeing as Arsenal couldnt capitalise by beating Sunderland:(...ridiculous decisions by the ref in that game ie the penalty then the offside goal that wasnt offside lol.

Think Arsenal were lucky in that respect so thanks Liverpool for the helping hand...still dont think we will win the EPL...its Utds to lose really.
