Special mention to the classless Scousers that booed him as he was being stretchered off, very classy!

Gerrard and Kuyt should be ashamed of themselves, watching the footage this morning there's Kuyt standing over him telling him to get up and Gerrard actually slaps his leg!!!

Oh how I wish Keane was still around for this kind of flashpoints.

But saying that Rafael's tackle was awful and he should be banned for 6 games.

Yep, I thought I saw Gerrard being a scummer, but gave him the benefit of the doubt as Nani was clearly ruined and I thought there's no way he's giving him stick, but he definitely was, very classless from him, especially the slap on the leg.

It's wrong of Liverpool players to react like that but in the end you can't help thinking it's like the boy that cried wolf, Nani goes down the majority of the time like he's been shot, then when he does finally get injured, no one believes it.

Madness.

This is the same Nani, that went down, got up, ran round to the ref, and then went down again as if shot?

No wonder they thought he was trying it on, and he probably was.

eeeeexactly

it was a harsh challenge but nani brought a lot of it on himself re: the photo. bit classless from liverpool players still but then so is flapping at st johns volunteers

Would the blood from his leg not give something away?

Cara easily knew it was a bad tackle, Hell I know when I've made a bad tackle when I play and I'd never berate a player after it. If it's a nothing tackle and they are diving, fair enough, but Nani wasn't in this instance.

You could say they are despicable human beings.

Or is that only when you elbow someone I forget.

I was watching the game again last night and I kid you not, when Nani was having his little fit, Rooney was standing there laughing at him :p

As others have said, Nani's a **** that has cried wolf far too many times in the past for people to believe him. And let us not forget that he didn't need a stretcher to get up and complain to the ref moments earlier.

I really don't see why people think Rafael's so called tackle was bad, he didn't even touch him, and by the time he came sliding near the player you could've made a brew and moved away or jumped as the L'pool player did.

Rafael just needed to be told to calm it down and yellowed, which he was. He's too eager to get the ball and doesn't think but keeps trying it, when more experienced players would've left it.

Carra was a stamp, 100% a red, all day long.

2 games where the refs have bottled it, for or against United. ;)

One thing that does make me angry is the way players surround the ref, and make him move backwards away from them, that needs to be stopped.

Yep, it's a big problem. I think that's a contributory factor to some of the shocking decisions we have. Their job isn't easy, but it's no excuse for the amount of huge decisions which are called incorrectly every week. Especially some of them, when they're painfully obvious.

Players have no respect for authority at all. Tiny thing, but I caught a bit of the Spurs game, and saw Gallas get booked, as soon as the ref reached for his card Gallas just shouted '**** off' in his face. All players do this, none of them care

.

Not really... have you not had an injury where you bled, but were in no real discomfort?

Terry Says...Play on!

Imagine if the player was on the ground rather than jumping. Both players were very lucky.

he didn't touch him because he jumped. both feet off the floor and in at great pace makes for a lucky boy still to be on the pitch. he's a whiney little bitch too, only a matter of time before he gets a real welcome to the premiership

I'll sum it up for you in 1 line.

If Lucas didn't jump he could well have had at least 1 leg broken. In fact it's more than likely he wouldn't have played football for a LONG time.

Maybe because his so called tackle consisted of him lunging, completely off the ground from a long way out with both studs showing. Looking at a couple of stills of the tackle and had he made contact with Lucas's standing leg (which he nearly did), he could have easily broken it as all Rafael's weight was going down into the tackle.

Also I'm not sure why people are defending 1 player/tackle by saying the other was worse. They were both worthy of red cards and that's all that matters.

Just before Raf slid Maxi went in with his studs with a tackle to his theigh, if you watch the replay you will see Raf pointing to his leg as he is getting booked, you will also see Saurez pulling him by his hair.
