Unfortunately it is the truth. Just because it is improbable doesn't mean it isn't possible. Even though the Liverpool side ranks as one of the best premier League teams up until that point and you have more chance of winning the lottery.
This is why finishing the league is really the only solution but how that is going to happen. God knows.
City won't be able to catch Liverpool if the season is cut short. It's impossible.
So surely if one player tests positive, then the whole team has to be tested? And then what if another few test positive, the team is out of action.News out of Germany that 3 Cologne players/staff have tested positive for corona. They will now be quarantined for the next 14 days but team training will carry on as usual. Reportedly it will be the same situation in the PL with any corona cases (within reason) being treated like any other injury and short of an entire squad being infected then training and games will carry on.

It would have been impossible if one more game was played but at this moment in time it is improbable. Just like if one more game was played it could have been possible United could have been 4th on goal difference but that is just a possibility as it never happened.

Everybody was tested and only 3 players/staff tested positive. Those 3 will now go into quarantine and the rest of the squad will continue training. So surely if one player tests positive, then the whole team has to be tested? And then what if another few test positive, the team is out of action.
It's impossible for City to catch Liverpool or United to be 4th if no more games are played.
Yes but if the season could be finished it would be improbable at this moment of time not impossible. In a court of law you deal with facts at hand not possibilities. That goes from top to bottom in the league not just the top place.
Ok let’s deal with facts. Only LFC have qualified for the champions league so that’s all European money to us. Excellent.
A lot of football supporters are petty but club execs won't be. The one thing that won't be argued about will be the title - it's the easiest decision to make. There might be a few clubs unhappy but they will then use PPG to decide League positions but that will be made fairly easily and quickly. The big debate will be around relegation and promotion.I am not trying to be funny. I am happy for Liverpool to be crowned champions. I am just playing devils advocate in this discussion as the legal teams of all prem clubs are going to be like a pack of wolves.
Europe, Relegation and Champions have to be all agreed to. Wolves were deep into the Europa League and challenging for top 4. Just another example of the fight that will ensue.

I've just been reading the latest, Brighton are (understandably) opposing neutral venues because with a majority of home games remaining it disadvantages them. Only one thing is clear so far, unless they can resume the season normally it's just a complete minefield.
That doesn't make any sense, Brighton have played the same amount of home games as everyone else around them and it's Villa who have played one less than all of them.
