Football and the Coronavirus

Cannot wait to see what a full squad of United players can do. Pogba and Fernandes together, Martial and Rashford back together up top. Jose the lucky SOB has Son and Kane back so should be an interesting game as before this covid i think we would have smashed them. Really need to pull off a win however!

I'm not sure if it's been confirmed yet but 1 journalist said they'd be shown on 'Pick', a free to air Sky channel.

Been confirmed over at the NowTV forum

With 92 Premier League matches of the current season remaining, Sky Sports subscribers will be able to watch 39 exclusive live games with a further 25 available more widely via Sky's free-to-air 'Pick' Channel and simulcast on Sky Sports

So in SD for the freeviewers and HD for Sky subs.

I’d have hoped that the BBC would get a couple of big ones, but then I realised that can’t happen as they will all be in the Sky/BT packages.

If Pool do win it I hope social distance means they can’t have a parade :p

Clutching at straws here :p

That's just mean. :p

I watched the rerun of the 89 title decider the other day. I was impressed with how many Liverpool fans stayed in the stadium for the trophy ceremony. Not a lot of teams would do that.

Why so bitter?

Because Manchester United :p :(

And I hope Utd keep socially distancing from trophies for many more years to come :p

Indeed. This makes the situation even worse. It wouldn't be as bad if we were able to put up some fight to try to with the EPL. Not only are you lot going to win it, you're far more likely to win it again (and again) before we are. *puke*

To be honest, I am happy for Klopp; one just can't help but like that guy, he's great :)

Good they did. Last they’d see of the title winners trophy at Anfield for over the next 30 years.

It's being reported that 6 games have been flagged up by local police forces as high risk and may need to be moved to neutral grounds. Man City v Liverpool, Man City v Newcastle, Man Utd v Sheff Utd, Newcastle v Liverpool, Everton v Liverpool, the game in which Liverpool might take the title. The possible title winning game is understandable and the Merseyside derby (which could be the title winning game) given that Goodison and Anfield are barely a mile apart, in the middle of a residential area but the other games? City struggle getting fans in their stadium let alone outside it and why would their game vs Newcastle be of greater risk than any other home game? Same for Newcastle's home game with us or Utd's with Sheffield Utd.

I can’t see how some of those games are high risk, but the NLD isn’t?

Yea, there appears to be very little logic to it. You do have to remember that these games have been flagged up by local police forces so a force in one area might be more laid back than forces in other areas. What I don't understand is why Man Utd vs Sheffield Utd any more of a risk than Man Utd vs West Ham or Man City vs Newcastle a greater risk than Man City vs Arsenal.
