There’s been quite a few who have used pics of loved ones who would never get the opportunity to go to ER, both young and old. I think it was a good idea. Expensive mind, but I guess it’s not a cheap project. Better than empty seats.

This is ridiculous tbh. You either play twice or you dont have the competition. You cant change the complete format of the competition half way through the tournament.

It's completely unfair. I get not playing in their own stadiums but away goals massively impact how you approach a game. Liverpool for e.g. didn't need to chase a goal as much when they were 2-1 up.

UEFA are doing exactly what they told Leagues to do - if you cannot complete the season as normal then find another format that's possible. It's not perfect but it's the least unfair scenario.

Not really, they're very much rivals. FIFA's expanded club world cup potentially puts the long term future of the CL at risk. There are only so many games that sides can play and eventually something will have to give.

Did they say change the format? I know they wanted competitions to be concluded with sorting merit but changing the rules of a competition half way through doesnt seem right to me.

Yes, I'm pretty sure we went over this when they released their statement the other month. 1) Finish seasons as normal. 2) Reformat the end of the season (eg some sort of play-offs). 3) End the season with final positions determined by sporting merit (eg ppg).
