Football and the Coronavirus

I see that we'll have an option to turn on artificial crowd noise to compensate for the empty stands.
I wonder how many West Ham, Arsenal and Man Utd fans will keep this option enabled post Covid...

;)

Not really, they're very much rivals. FIFA's expanded club world cup potentially puts the long term future of the CL at risk. There are only so many games that sides can play and eventually something will have to give.

Life has been unfair since covid-19.

seriously i see no problem with this

I gave an example of an issue. The whole competition changes.

UEFA are doing exactly what they told Leagues to do - if you cannot complete the season as normal then find another format that's possible. It's not perfect but it's the least unfair scenario.

That's FIFA, not UEFA.

Did they say change the format? I know they wanted competitions to be concluded with sorting merit but changing the rules of a competition half way through doesnt seem right to me.

Yes, I'm pretty sure we went over this when they released their statement the other month. 1) Finish seasons as normal. 2) Reformat the end of the season (eg some sort of play-offs). 3) End the season with final positions determined by sporting merit (eg ppg).
