Season ticket holder at my local team. Haven't missed a home game for 3/4 seasons, try to make as many away games as possible

Funny enough can't stand football video games etc. though (last one I enjoyed was Sensible world of Soccer)

I didn't care about football up until a few years ago, could never understand why people were so religious about it and how it was enjoyable to watch 90 minutes of people falling over with maybe 1 goal. Then I started watching with my gf and her family and I'll admit there can be some excitement to it. I've definitely changed my stance but I still wouldn't say I love it, just enjoy watching a match every now and then so long as its not teams playing overly defensive. As a general rule anything less than 2 goals in a match tends to be pretty boring to me.

I still dislike most of the players mind you. I don't like that to be a good player it seems you have to be dishonest and try and claim fouls and free kicks for anything, or maintain a 'hard' image but at the same time roll around on the floor in agony at the slightest bump. The sport could definitely do with some rule changes (Video reviews, harsher punishment for diving, only the captains can speak to the ref etc).

I like Football and still follow it, mainly English and Spanish. Don't really play Football games anymore though, went off of Fifa a long time ago (PS2 era) and slowly went off Football Manager as each version seemed to have stupid match engine issues that took ages to get fixed (if ever). That said I probably watch less football now as well so perhaps just interests changing over time.

I like a whole range of sports (snooker, cricket, rugby, F1) but for some reason I just can't get into football. During the world cup I might get dragged in for social reasons, but I can get much more carried away with assorted sports at the olympics than I can with football.

Gamer (Mainly PC), I Like football, support Newcastle (why, atm, i couldn't tell you).

I watch as many of their games as possible, try to catch all the 'big games' and of course Match of the Day.

Play occasionally.

Couldn't careless about internationals.

Same.

Used to be avidly into football.. but in more recent times I've just started to dislike the professional game more and more.

Dislike the direction of the game, the way transfers work, cheating (i.e diving) of players, and I suppose clubs.

Even have lost the love of playing the game. I used to be extremely good when I was younger, took a break when I got injured and up until recent years played 'Sunday League' ... my god that is dire, everybody just wants to be Lionel Messi... same with 5-7 a side really! Though I do occasionally play 5-7 a side as a ringer for a few friends!

Took up American Football instead. much more fun

Been a season ticket holder for the blue half of Manchester for over 20 years. Fifa is one of those games you can just pick up and play when you want to chill and no one else is online.

Love it. Don't understand how someone could hate it. Have no interest in it certainly, but hate is ridiculous. I would find it very hard to muster up enough enthusiasm to 'hate' anything like a sport that other people are playing!

Not a Fifa fan though, only occasionally play it with mates.

We have been discussing in the office about football, and it seems like the general thought (from gamers) is that not many of us care about football, and actively do not follow it, but the odd few follow the World Cup.

So here is a poll to find out what the general concious is, we want to find out if PC gamers like football! :)

I hate football but I will watch the World Cup. There is no option for that so I'm putting it here.

My dad liked it, but I hate football... though I don't think it has nothing to do with being a gamer specifically. In fact, most of my interests seem to stereotype a football-hater, really, even the non-geeky ones.

I get people trying to talk footie at me sometimes... I usually respond by talking back at them about boxing or rugby (claiming they are REAL sports helps) and they usually go away. :D

If I want to watch a bunch of boys chasing an air-filled leather sack around, I'll watch the farmers bring the cows home! ;)

no interest in premiership, but i do watch the bigger events World Cup etc.

Its like i have no interest in tennis but ill watch a grand slam, no interest in golf but ill watch the masters, no interest in athletics but ill watch the Olympics :)

I've never been interested in football much at all really, though I do admire the skill some people have that makes them able to do something that I can't. I have played, on rare occasions, a friendly kick around with friends which has been quite enjoyable. The only time my interest ramps up, is when the odd world cup game comes along, which is strange really as I'm not that much of a patriot. I enjoy watching some other countries play as much as my own. Love the Argentinian kit.
