They are players that Wenger said he nearly signed before they became superstars. Its not players that he didn't buy because they cost too much. He loves to buy no ones from (usually) france who don't become worldies.

Yea but it doesn't sound like he nearly signed half of those listed. E.g. Bale - we saw him but we had other left backs so didn't bother. Great story!
