I know what your saying with Song and Denilson as first team players, surely its time to bring Aaron Ramsey and maybe even Wilshere into the fold even if its show them two that they need to buck they're ideas up
WEngers been sad and scared since we lost the unbeaten run 4 years ago. we've not been the same since. When he should make changes he doesn't, when he needs to make the big choice and sacrifice a supposed top player because he's done nothing, he doesn't. Eboue was the source of most of our best chances in the first half tbh, was far more effective than Ade and replacing someone on the wing with a striker basically whose still stuck with the useless Ade infront is stupid. Repeatedly playing theo on the wing when he's clearly not in anyway strong enough to play that role and is superb upfront is ridiculous. VP/Ade combo isn't that great either, yet it keeps coming. VP needs someone who makes inteligent runs and isn't always offside infront of him.
But Song, frankly isn't good enough for the Carling cup team, that Sheffield performance was superb, and Sheffield were hopeless, but the only person constantly missing passing, stepping on the ball, getting it stuck in his feet, being slow to react was Song. he shouldn't be at the club, someone that age with zero talent should be being moved on already rather than wasting space. Denilson is showing none of the promise of 2 years ago, he's never going to replace Fabregas, not a lick of defensive ability, tough luck sometimes, if he can live as a backup for Fabregas happy for him to stay if he gets back to training for only that role. But he shouldn't be in the team as defensive midfielder, as he's horrific at the role and not only plays badly himself, Fabregas is far less effective against a forward pushing Denilson/Flamini than a Gilberto or Flamini when he stayed back. I'd sacrifice Denilson's 5 goals a season for Fabregas staying right up the pitch and getting 15.
I think our only hope rests with Wenger dropping Denilson, probably playing Eboue and praying Rosicky, and the injured central mid guy he bought ever coming back from injury, but both are chronically injured players
Other than the Carling cup Wilshire and Ramsey get a place on the bench, but no real football, just 4 minutes here, or maybe if really lucky a whole 8 minutes at the end of a 4-0 killing of a bottom 3 side where everyones stopped playing, lots to learn there. He did that to Theo for a year, very little football, bench time will teach them nothing at all. The problem is he does this all year long, then when we get injuries(down to lack of any real rest for anyone) he'll chuck them in against a top side under massive pressure with zero form and no confidence from the 3 minutes a game for the past 6 months. Was it blackburn Ramsey came on and setup the twits hatrick. But it was still a crap team and we'd won the game 40 minutes earlier, could have bought him and Wilshire on for half of a decent game but even then it was the last few minutes basically.
