Football Fixtures 27-28th September *Spoilers*

I love reading the WE and US posts supporting liverpool / arsenal and then looking <<< left at the location to see people coming from North Wales / Doncaster whereever these glory hunting fans are based.

Did any of the Chelsea fans hear Stoke today. This particular chant sums up my post.

"We support, we support, We support our local team..."

Gloryhunting??

Yes I support Liverpool, and yes I am from Gosport on the south coast. (my "local" team actually doesnt play in any "professional" league).

However, I have supported Liverpool for 30+ years, and as we havent won the title for the last 18 of those years I think I can hardly be accused of being a glory hunter. (not to mention the 3 decades of support). If you want to know why I support them, its really very simple. When I was a young kid watching the football on match of the day, Liverpool were the most exciting team to watch (not just because of their results, but because of the way they played), and thats how it began.

Now logically, if I was a glory hunter, I would have since changed my allegiance to Man Utd or Chelsea. I suppose I could support my local team, but frankly the football they play is dire, and not terribly exciting at all, hardly gives me much to talk about either, unless someone wants to start a southern dell autos windscreen rymand division thread (though I think I might be a lonely poster in it :D )

Everyone knew what the Hull gameplan would be today, but we had no answers at all and some of our play around the area was shocking.

Hull thoroughly deserved their win, played to their plan superbly, each of their players giving their all and Geovanni's goal was brilliant and our continued lack of height and heading ability for set pieces, cost us dear, yet again.

Embarrassing, certainly, but we need to pick ourselves up quickly and this needn't be the end of the world.

Gio's goal at the Emirates was incredible - well done to them, they were hanging on at the end but did fabulously

Spurs are playing like amateurs but no doubt will score a point at least

How lucky were Chelsea yesterday. 1st goal was handball and poor goalkeeping, 2nd was a mistake by the defender which meant Anelka couldn't miss.

Wish they made these mistakes against us!

i'm glad we lost to Hull yesterday as it highlights the current squads deficiencies and maybe if we have a mini slump toward xmas they will actually break open the piggie bank and strengthen in january.

i wasn't getting carried away after the last few weeks decent results, denilson is still a stopgap in midfield who couldn't hit a barn door from 20yards and eboue still needs shooting......let alone that our captain is the most overated CB in the premier league.

no need to panic though :p

A few of those playing in nappies on tuesday looked semi-useful though?
