and the way footy manager works really isn't very mutliplayer friendly! Different people play different ways and people like to sit around for ages looking for players etc when others are desperate to get to a match to see how there new player works out. Myliplayer FM would need to be a whole different game to stand any chance of working.......oh wait it is what you need is fm live!
tried the demo --i like the improved match engine, was even able to sell old high profile players without too much problem, couldnt do that before. i'll buy it when it comes out.
the budget adjustment thing to allow me to sign a player i cant afford is just confusing but i like it!

I know what you mean. I'm £130k a week under my wage budget. I'm trying to get some of that into my transfer kitty. I only seem to be able to move transfer cash to wage bill and not the other way round.the budget adjustment thing to allow me to sign a player i cant afford is just confusing but i like it!

I tried last years game on my 360 but i couldnt get used to the controller , the layout for it was fine but so used to using the mouse .

Yeah I think FM is a game suited to a mouse and keyboard layout. A console controller just doesn't seem right for FM.
Downloaded the demo, been playing for a while now. Lol, my life is gonna drain away.
The game is well laid out, the normal skin is a bit bland but that wont be a problem. Just download some.
The ingame tactics feature is very nice, with the ability to tell players what type of player to be..E.g Kaka - Loads of creative freedom..etc..

i go through that, its usually the same for me, but as soon as its released, the following week at work im all bleary eyed from all-nighters!
Damn it why do they do this every year along comes october-november then bam halo 3 , project gotham 4 , fifa 08 , pro evo , fm08 and the list goes on
.Think i might have to make my shortlist of games smaller but that isnt going to stop me buying footy manager not a chance in hell

I really like it. Have always liked it from the off. Admittedly I don't think we've seen a lot of change from FM07 to FM08. A mate of mine probably won't be buying this. I will though.
The only thing about the skin I don't like is the row of buttons near the top of the screen, otherwise it's a quality skin I reckon.
