Football *Spoilers* 26/27/28 April

FT 2-2. Not the most exciting of games but good to see a few youngsters get some experience. Very impressed with Pennant today.

Good result for Liverpool, given the team, and CL football almost guaranteed. Pennant was fantastic from start to finish as were a few other players but Riise, Finnan and Voronin were all very poor. Made some of our young reserves look like world beaters.

Pretty much agree with all that although Pennant's delivery in the first half was poor. Riise coming off made it pretty clear that he's starting on Wednesday though.

Suprised to see Insua is still only 19, potentially one for the first team. Like all Argentine defenders he's very agressive in the tackle and looks pretty handy going forward too.

Tbf to him, with the exception of the og the other day, he's rarely let us down in the big games.
Maybe not in the big games but in the games we should be winning he always makes the odd mistake or two. I can't remember a player ever getting skinned as many times as he does and his defensive positioning is truly awful. Was great under Houllier and has been a good servant but I'll be glad to see the back of him if he goes now.

Has he? Peter Reid finished higher in his first season iirc. Plus, Keane has had bags of money to spend.
Sure Peter Reid guided them to 7th two years in a row.

But guiding a team to the Premiership at the first time of asking and then keeping them in the Premiership is surely a job well done.

I completely agree but i wouldn't be suprised if he puts in a decent performance on Wednesday and maybe even pops up with a goal in the right net too.

Don't worry, they'll be back down next season. ;) Living up to the yo-yo club tag.
