Football *Spoilers* 26/27/28 April

ahahaha I love UTD fans all so bitter when stuff finally goes against them, was a blatent handball the guy had long enough to move out of the way yet he left his arm in the way. How many times has this sort of thing been done in the past and its been ignored and how many times have softer penalties gone against teams. They got dominated most of the first half and even with the golden boy ronaldo couldnt manage much of an attack majority of the time.

Get over it UTD Fans you aint invincible and I so hope you finish the season with no trophies. Once again I repeat

GO CHEEEEEELSEA!!! They will take the title and barca will win the champs league ;)

I would have preferred it if Utd had beaten Chelski today, being a Spurs fan and all, but overall i am not too bothered.

Am just glad that Arsenal havent won anything this year, though there is a bad side to this - Arsene Whinger's continuous whining, but oh well, i think it is worth it :)

/Edit Though would have been nice to have beaten Bolton, lol. Oh well, roll on next season (can we finish early please?)

Strange attitude for a London club supporter to prefer the Northern club over a fellow London club but then you are a Tottenham fan & have spent your whole lives getting hammered by your neighbours so maybe that has something to do with it :p

Nobody answered my question anyways, WHO WON !!! :D:D:D

Man yoo 2-1 :p

Just got back from the match, really enjoyed it today.

Cruised to a 3-0 victory could have been more tbh, ensuring Championship football for us next season.

All in all I'd say it's been a great season for Barnsley with the cup run and stopping up :)

Just a shame about Wednesday winning :( :p

I'm not quite sure why ManU fans are getting so wound up. Yes we beat you today and I think we were well worth the win over the whole game. The Penalty was a 50-50, I've seen them given and I've seen them not given. All I'll say is Carrick had time to move his hand out of the way.

Anyway it's your title to lose and although I'll keep the faith, I very much doubt that you will drop points in your final two games. Makes it an interesting prospect though.

I thought it was a penalty. Dunno why United fans are complaining. Apart from the fact that we only woke up when the penalty went in. We didn't seem to play for a win. We still have West Ham and Wigan to play, home and away respectively. Newcastle have been playing well recently and could hold Chelsea to a draw. Bolton have also been battling. Anything could happen. United could end this season trophyless.

Our form since the away Roma leg has been awful (even though we won that game). Maybe the boys gave too much in that game that they are a bit worse for wear?

But my god how important was Tevez's equaliser against Blackburn?

Can't believe how lucky Hull are. :)
Arf, says the fan of a team who could only beat the second worst team in the league by a single goal! Not that that should be much of a suprise I guess, seeing as you seem to have made single-goal victories your speciality. I'll be sure to tune in for Stoke's exciting 90-minute defensive display every week on MotD should they go up!

Haha, dont get me wrong, i dont mind other London clubs (Fulham, West Ham etc) but i hate Arsenal because of the whinger, and they are our north london rivals, and really dislike Chelsea because of the manner with which they bought the premiership (i know it is an old reason but that is how i feel about them).

Also my dad has supported Man U for a good 30 odd years so that has something to do with it also.

Not happy with the result today, but I'm far from surprised. Chelsea were well worth the win just for how dominant they were in the first half. I can't really complain about the penalty either, I know I'd be looking for it to be given had it been a Chelsea player handling it.

Bottom line is we were terrible (again) thanks in no small part to the ridiculous formation Fergie keeps lumbering the players with. I've seen two teams look outstanding playing 4-5-1/4-3-3 - Early Mourinho Chelsea and Barcelona, I've never seen us play well usuing this formation and thought it was a direct result of using 4-5-1. If it ever could be a good formation for us it would be with someone other than Rooney, I'm sick of seeing him get frustrated (understandably so) with the poor supply he gets when we play this way. He's not suited to being the lone striker and I think anyone with a little common sense can see this.

Still, we remain in a great position to take the league. I was sure the point last week was probably going to be a title winning point and today's result certainly makes that the case (provided we do the job in the last two games).

Went to the game today.

Man Utd came for the draw, no Tevez or Ronaldo on the starting 11 says it all.

Chelsea deserved the win simple as. Ref had a decent game to be fair, though he didn't give the penalty the lino did (from what I could see in the Shed End lol).

Avram is still clueless - Ankela and Sheva subs were a sign desperation, the game should have been won before then.

Really impressed with Ashley Cole, thought he played his best game for Chelsea today.

Rooney took his goal well but overall Utd just didn't turn up. The Ronaldo shot from kick-off sums up the Utd performance today.

If Chelsea played like this all season they would have walked the league. Nevertheless, Utd have played some great football this year, lets hope West Ham can cause another upset :)

Who are the second highest scorers in the Division?

Personally, I don't think there is much wrong with the formation. bear in mind this is the formation we were playing when we were putting 2-3-4 & 5 goals past times.

It's how he is playing them in that position that is the problem. I really think if Fergie wants the team to win anything this year hes got to do a few things

* Play his strongest XI from kick off
* Stop playing to contain teams

I think he is playing not to loose rather than out to win. Greatest respect to Chelsea today, I don't think they were worthy winners. If we would have made the right substitutions after the equalizer when they were effectively on the rack then we could have gone onto win it yet we look to consolidate the 1-1 we had.

Both this game and the Barca game are disappointing. I can take a good defeat on the chin but the way we have played this week is absolute rubbish
