Tru i cant believe you would want to do this to someone, unless ive missed something by not reading 3 pages of posts.

I cannot possibly see how anyone who puts up things like this on ebay has any other intention than to hopefully scam some poor sod into buying something that isnt what they want. There is no argument against this. Most people do not sell boxes on ebay because they are worth very little as with an xbox box, unless someone falls for its being an actual xbox.

Im thoroughly disappointed in you Tru.

You acquired one.. why? to put stuff in? no, otherwise you wouldnt want to sell it.

And then to even think you can earn some money off of it through ebay is not the honest nature we should aspire to have.

This is the worst bit, thats their problem. Treat as you wish to be treated! If you get scammed.. its your problem..

Why not just say you did it to scam someone instead of trying to convince everyone a Xbox360 box is a valuable item someone is willing to pay 70 quid for

I did not know that a unboxed Xbox360 with excactly the same equipment as a boxed Xbox 360 is 70 quid cheaper in the stores though, must off missed that :confused:

Don't be obtuse, we're obviously talking about the 2nd hand market here. If I could be bothered, I'd take some examples from ebay to show that a box increases the re-sale value of a console by x%.

It is painfully clear that the auction was for a box... not the 360; it is not possible for someone to think that this was for a console-

i was all ready to tell Tru how nasty he was trying to rip people off etc

then i stopped and read the auction page, its quite funny, and he does state many times its the box

if it was a description of the 360 then i would be ranting

what im saying is that Tru although he did set out to scam some1 (admit it mate you wouldnt go through that much hassle to sell a box for £4) DID state many times what it was, whereas many ebayers would have just put an xbox 360 description, which would lead people to think they are buying the whole package

Still i suppose its not really fair, im stuck in the middle in this one after thinking about it

It's amazing that these 'legit' auctions never specifically state anything regarding the item being an empty cardboard only, or that the console IS NOT included. Nor do they ever seem to have a picture of the cardboard box, open, showing that it's empty. Pathetic really.
