Depends how the advert looks!!

If you do not go out of your way to make it totally clear that it's ONLY an EMPTY box the buyer will receive then your no better than any of the other scammers on ebay

Also I will be looking out for your auction and WILL report you should you try to scam less intelligent people

P.S) Some ******* was doing this scam on ebay ages ago with PS2/Xbox/iPod..etc box's and was set to make a small fortune
That was until I noticed :D
I posted here for help and also messaged all the top bidders on the empty box's explaining the scam. They were very grateful and thanked me, I also informed ebay who to my surprise were pretty damn quick and pulled all his auctions for empty box's!!

FULLY star your swearing - read the FAQ.

That's very interesting. I notice it was pre-release which would explain the outrageous winning bid. The guy couldn't make it any clearer it was a home-made box he was selling.

LOL

If you cannot tell that his auction has CLEARLY been worded/layed out to trick people into thinking they are bidding on something that they are not actually gonna get then your more retarded then the fools that scan read these type of auctions and get scammed.

Out of interest, how long ago did you bust that last guy?

Fair enough, you have made it very clear that it's just an empty box!
However a moral/decent person would still (should the empty box go for a ridiculous amount of money) contact the buyer and make 100% sure that they are aware they are actually going to get an empty cardboard box and NOTHING else. Karma's a biatch ;)

Glad you approve. :)

Now, about that other empty box scammer you busted, I can't remember it, was it a while ago?

If you have to ask then you clearly lack morals.

So I say go ahead and if you get kicked to death by the unlucky buyer I will have no sympathy.

Which member on here uses the ebay id pink_puppy_power?

Your excuse that 'the dog ate my last box' is pretty funny.

They arent unlucky if they read that and still think it's an xbox. They are stupid.

And stupid/intellectually challenged/mentally disabled..etc deserve to lose lots of money because ??????

We had this discussion last time and the greedy, selfish/self-absorbed people with their heads stuck up their own ass had the exact same justification:
they deserve to lose a lot of money because they are stupid (ie not super intelligent like ME who never makes mistakes

Get over yourself!! How would you like to be all excited and thinking that your about to receive something you have been dreaming about for days to only then realise that you have just paid £100+ for an empty box, what a lovely feeling for another human being to have!!

Some of the response here just shows how cold blooded and mean some people can be!!

Pardon me for being a Websleuth™ but I can't find any evidence of you sticking up for your intellectually challenged bretheren. You're either making it up or are using a new/different account. I'll happily retract this if I'm wrong.

I also have a number of relatives who are very bad at english....ie From Spain / France etc - who use ebay - and have bid on empty boxes in the past.

In general - its usually young / naive or older (more trusting) folk who bid on these types of scam auctions....the sort of people that don't deserve to be caught out.

Its a low thing to do...and to think that its just stupid english people (that should know better or fail to read the auction description properly) is very narrow minded.

Tru has every right to sell whatever he wants, the description clearly states what it is. If you are mentally challenged to the degree you cannot make sense of the description surely someone would help you?
I agree with you had Tru tried to pretend it was an actual xbox, but your argument is void, he is not trying to scam anyone. Also if someone does bid huge amounts surely Tru will be able to tell if they are "mentally challenged" when they contact eachother and he can decide the right course of action.

I read it as xbox 360 for sale.

On first glance I actually did too, I then had to do a double take to make sure I hadn't somehow entered the Members Market.
