For the Grammar Nazis

It is even better is when Random words in The Sentence have capital Letters. Working in a school I see it all the time and it isn't just the students that are guilty of it :o

I know people in very senior positions that still don't know the difference between 'your' and 'you're'. It's not just a one off either, I constantly get 'I hope your well' in emails.

Mistakes like that are everywhere. Is this because of bad teaching or bad students?

Some people will say "as long as you get the meaning of my post then it shouldn't matter about my spelling or grammar". Although there is some credence to this, it has gotten to the point where people CAN'T understand your posts as the words/sentences you are using (through typos or poor punctuation) make it impossible to understand.

"gotten". Aarrrggghhh!

Also give it 10 years and grammar will be a dead subject we will all be using vocal Interfaces and our text will be auto spell checked, auto grammarized (I know it's not a word really thought it might frustrate you purists though :p)

As long as it's readable and understandable, and you can communicate properly whats the problem

Studies have also shown that as long as the first and last letters of a word are correct, people can still read that sentance easily

I was giong to tpye taht sentnace lkie this, but I thuoght that wuold get annyoing

Nothing worse than seeing someone using your/you're, or their/there incorrectly in emails, especially in a work environment.

Basic education should have taught you the difference.

Correct spelling and grammar is critical.

i dont think they actually teach this any more. i see so many top management types with the spelling and grammar of 5 year olds.

i dont get how hard some people find too, to and two and they're their and there. its not rocket science. we were taught it when we were about 7 years old if i recall. really basic stuff.

When im using my phone to make posts punctuation is the least of,my worries. If im doing my CV or sending a letter to the queen then I'll worry about it.

That's 2 extremes really. I can understand it when using a phone, as you've got a tiny keypad and lets face it, it's a pain to type on. There's no excuse when you've got a full keyboard in front of you, and it doesn't take any more effort to type correctly than not to.

I completely agree. If someone cannot be bothered to put the effort into typing a coherant sentence then why should I take the time to try and help them?

That is the first thing I notice in a post over everything else. God, I really am getting old and intolerant :p

Coherent. :p

you know you have spelt grammar wrong in that pic?

And Nazi's!!!!!

It's like when someone uses CD's, DVD's, 90's and so on.

I don't really care about typos and easily made errors or issues that resulted from a goof up with autocorrect (we've all had them!) and those are pretty obvious too but too many people don't even know they're making highly obvious mistakes. I do the same myself sometimes but when I look back I think to myself "LOL RETARD" and quickly herp-derp to the edit button.
