The only thing that annoys me is something that I have seen quite often recently- "that peaked my interest"
Actually, it doesn't really annoy me, but I always feel I should point it out.
So I'm in no doubt it exists, but actually calling it a disability or it having a big impact on someones learning ability I do disagree with. Dyslexia is just a word they use for someone who has difficulty with spelling and reading. It doesn't mean they're stupid or lazy

So yeah, it exists, but it doesn't mean that dyslexic people should be given any special treatment for it
ARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUU"I could care less."

ARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUU![]()
That drives me insane. I mean, how utterly stupid must you be to even think that makes sense?
You mean when they're being perfectly correct?![]()
If someone is awful at maths, why is there no special 'illness' for those people?
It's the same thing. It's just an excuse. Your dad and brother are awful at English, they are not ill. They are just bad at something.
I have to agree. There is WAY too much "he has something wrong with him" going on in schools nowadays. it is impossible for someone to be just naughty or stupid (as they were in my day).
A kid a my wives school has been diagnosed with Autisum, but a guy with an autistic child spent 10 minutes with him and said he is not autistic he is just naughty! My wife and the TA try and make him "set off" for instance changing his seat, taking his pens, changing lessons etc and he does not react at all. A real autistic would not be able to cope with that.

back to school for you mate.
CD's means something belongs to the aforementioned CD.
actually there is a numerical version of dyslexia.
It really annoys me when people don't start sentences with capital letters too.*cough* ADHD *cough*
they were just hyperactive and naughty when i was young. or known as curtain swingers after a mate of mine kept swinging from curtains. nothing wrong with him, he was just spoilt and badly behaved.

Can't believe that no one has mentioned 'pacific' when they mean 'specific'
The one that I get on a daily basis is 'the amount of cv's that we have today..'
CVs - plural!!! GRrr!
It is James's not James'
Lack of possessive "s" for words ending in S is my bugbear.
It is James's not James'
As far as I'm aware, manuals of style are split on this.
