Bench pressed over my body weight on monday, not exactly a large weight but it was one of my goals to achieve and now i've set another.

Had to miss my back/biceps workout yesterday though so I think i'll add deadlifts and maybe bicep curls to my legs workout on Friday.

No issues at all to bench 120-124 1RM. I think you could hit 130+ if you tried :)
 
yep. going to switch to flat DB for a month (then all my chest work will be with DBs (been doing decline DB recently and loving it compared to BB)). it should kick the strength gains again. on the flip side, i really need to hit this 'cut' hard and stop slacking!
 
Sounds like a great idea to me. I change from BB to DB and back again every 4 weeks and I've noticed some great gains since working like that.

As for cutting and diet, I feel your pain. I'm moving away for work for a few years tomorrow, and trying to pack everything I'll need, throw all the old crap away, train, sleep and still day in day out get a high quality diet in has been hard hard work. My diet has slipped in the last week leading up to this, but I'm going to cut myself some slack just this once :cool:

On a plus note I managed to get a Leg workout in today. I've scoped a couple of gyms out in Gloucester (or apparently I'm going to be living nearer Cheltenham(sp?)) but I still need to find somewhere nice and hardcore to train.

Moving house is a royal pain in the ass.
 
I dropped flat BB bench for quite a while as I fell out with it. Started doing wide-grip weighted dips instead and they were good.

Been benching again for a few weeks and I'm loving it again! I've nailed the form and managing to get all the weight directly on my pecs where I want it. I did 110kg tonight for a few sets of 5 and it was easy and didn't even feel it in my tri's or delts. Pure pec power! :D

Wanted to go heavier but there was no one in the gym but me. Plus 'I know me' and mood I was in I wouldn't have stopped until I couldn't press the damn thing back up lol! Need to be carefull when cutting aswell as strength just seems to fade without warning.

That's something that I've found to be a problem as well. I can't put 100% in to each compound at the moment so I'm only pushing myself hard every two weeks. Cutting is good fun but I still prefer bulking.
 
Mate don't ever post things such as 'Not very heavy I know' because at the end of the day it just doesn't matter. If that's your new best, then that's an achievement and you should be happy and proud with that :)

I shouldn't think you'll have a problem with 80KG, it'll come soon. Train hard :cool:

I know, but i'm just aware it's not really a heavy lift and I will improve on it.

Ohhh i'm looking forward to the gym tonight. Missed out on Wednesday so some arms/back going in with the legs!

Be prepared to feel like this a lot! When you reach 100KG you'll think that's not heavy and then so on. I do it all the time. My max bench is somewhere between 136-140KGs as a 1 off (it was just over 300lbs). Last time I trained chest with BB bench, I finished my last set with 6 reps on 116KG. After the workout I began to think..."well that's not actually that good is it" and so I want to finish higher next time and so on. Thinking this way always motivates me to better myself.

You're training back with legs? I thought you were doing a 3 day split?
