Is anyone actually fit at the moment?

I propose a white paper titled "All This Exercise Is Bad For You".
How about "Getting older is bad for you"? ;)

Mine's a result of starting football again, 5-a-side AND full games aswell as hitting my legs three times a week in the gym. I need to tell myself sometimes that I'm not 18 anymore! :D

I did 180Kg deadlift 2nd week of incorporating the exercise into my routine. I got 2 reps first set and 1 and a half reps next set. I did a few reps of 1 plate to warm up and then 140Kg for 6 reps.

I cant really call it a goal cause its only been a week since I started the exercise and I thought "I can do more weight on this".

Got to thank the spaz who chucked a drink bottle at me from a car while I was walking to the gym cause the thought of that made me angry and explosive when I was preparing to lift!

Got my diet sorted out today from James over on MT. So when i am finally able to get back in the gym properly, i have everything there to start growing again. I'm sure i'm shrinking by the day :(

Some impressive lifts in this thread.

I've just moved gyms (last 2 weeks) and now have access to free weights - after 9 months of using the machines.

Wow, this is different  :D

First day after doing squats I could barely walk!

Anyway, hoping to improve on these over the next year.

Bench 10 x 50kg
Squat 8 x 70kg

Bodyweight currently at 73kg (bulking!!). 5'11".

Did I say I loved squats? :D

Yeh i know, does my head in. Worst thing is they out a tube down my throat during the operation and its caused me to have 5 ulcers in my mouth so i haven't eaten for 3 days, well 2 bowls of Weetabix and thats it :( Cant wait to get back in the gym and eating properly again.

I'm curious, with the references to not being 18 anymore, is there an actual peak age in bodybuilding? I'm guessing it varies from person to person. I don't see many people here over 30, is it just a state of mind?

I guess you've not watched the World championships of bodybuilding, there are pentioners competing. Also an uncle of mine has arms like arnold schwarzenegger at 65 (when I saw him 2 years ago), and I don't think there were any gyms in Ireland in his day. I wouldnt think everyone peaks at 18 either judging by when I was 14 or so some class mates had full beards and Im like wtf?

Im 31, and Im improving my lifts naturally from better nutrition.
