You weight nearly twice as much as me Morba :|

I am actually pretty tiny though, small frame, short arse..... give me another year ;]

Loving training at the moment though.

I've changed my workout habits, I used to go first thing in the morning but I found that I do better if I go straight after work. Perhaps I just don't have enough energy in me first thing. After work though I can usually lift what I do in the mornings but can manage a couple more reps or with better form so I'm sticking with that for now.

As far as weight loss/gain - I finished last year a tubby 14 stones 10 or 12 pounds. No I weight 13 stones 12 pounds and have visible muscles without the need to tense them. When I was shifting fat I got my weight down to 13 stones 0 pounds so I'm pleased with the gains I've made since. My diet is much better and I think it's mainly down to that, I'm eating plenty of protein (about 220-275g per day) through fish/chicken and whey protein shakes. Trying to eat as little rubbish as possible like crisps/biscuits/chocolate etc.

I'm feeling fit and strong and that's what counts. I think my goal is to get up to 14 stones 7 pounds by next summer but gaining as much lean muscle as possible rather than fat.

I feel like i'm getting a belly. You can only see my abs when I tense and when i'm sat down I feel like a have a large stomach.

Not cool :(

Might cut :\

Same here too.

Need a little advice guys as Im a total n00b at the whole thing of getting into shape :p

As Im getting on a little older, Im thinking about my body more and getting into shape. Well Im not unfit atm anyway. Pretty fit but I want to build up my body, mainly the upper half. Legs dont need much work as I cycle to work and back and pretty much everywhere I go, so they get a lot of work out and a lot of punishment :p

Anyway, I have some cast iron weights here already, couple of solid dumbells and a tricep bar (I think thats whats its called). Im planning very soon to get a folding workout / weight bench for in my room once Ive arranged around some space for it.

Im very active in my job, always on the move around work, lifting heavy objects, glass, doors etc. Ive noticed with doing this over the last year, muscle has grown on my upper body but Im wanting to work on it a little more.

I could do with a simple beginner work out plan for starters to try for a couple of weeks to see how it goes, but I dont know where to start. What to do first and what to follow it.

Hence why Im asking you great people in here for some advice and help :)

Thanks very much...

Ben

Might cut :\

I'm 3 weeks into a cutting cycle... man i hate it with a passion, but i've promised myself i'll keep it up till the end of November when i go on holiday. If the results are not satisfactory it will be my last attempt at a cut ever. I'll just eat what i want and be fat.

I've kissed goodbye to long cuts and bulks. Bulks always go too far the other way and it's so easy to cheat and pile on the pounds. Long cuts are just soul destroying and take the fun out of it, so what's the point??

3-4 week bulks with only minimal excess calories followed by 2 week cuts from now on. Hopefully the rebounds should allow me to keep growing and gaining strength during the cuts.

At least that's the idea.... we shall see!

2 weeks cutting has about as much effect on my body as skipping a single meal tbh.

My body is strange, i think 120-125kg is the "ideal" weight as far as my body is concerned. I'm currently on sub 2500cals, and just about dropping, but before i started cutting i could easily be eating 4000+cals a day without any gain in weight.

Goal is 110kg by the end of the cut (end of Nov). If i get there, i will consider doing it again.

I'm 'only' 100kg and I drop weight easily if I go as low as 2500kcals, never really managed lower than that lol.

At 125kg you're a monster of a man! How on earth can you survive on such low calories, I would have thought you'd drop with 3000kcals?

Good luck! :)
One comes out a chicken's behind and the other comes in a tub. Its getting boring being misunderstood in such idiotic ways. I dont think it matters whether eggs are cooked or not, the chart I saw said eggs were the must readily used source of protein from natural sources and that whey protene exceeds this (if Im wrong please link me to your source). I think my point was that its not illegal to sell to under 18s and Im not interested in holding a stupid argument over semantics.
Dude chill out...

i am the same as OJ :/
i am on just under 2500 and doing a shed load of cardio, yet its not falling off me, just slowly coming off :/

120kg seems to be fine for my body, it likes it!

8 week cuts are perfect for me, can easily drop 2 stone in that time... give me plenty of reason to overeat in the winter!! ;)

yea in my 8 week cut lost a good 10kg, knowing how to lose it makes it so much easier for next time, starting 8 monthish bulk next week, cant wait :D

I'm starting a 7 month bulk over the next few days, but I'm also going to start doing conditioning training, as I'm hoping to eventually play rugby. Hopefully I'll be able to get the balance right. I managed to gain 13kgs on my last (first) bulk, hopefully I'll be able to keep going at a good pace.
