For the gym rats

I was just about to post that I'm giddy with excitement about going the gym this afternoon - looking at my watch with anticipation! :o Chest day today - love it! :D I'm so addicted to this gym malarky.
 
Deadlifted 110kg for 8 reps today, using a one-rep max calculator that puts my max at 137kg. I reckon I could pull a 135kg, maybe 140kg. Current max is 132.5kg, I think I'll be waving bye-bye to this figure on my next back session.

It's great when you're increasing your lifts each week. Can't wait to see where I am by the summer.

I hate chest day because I am paranoid everyone is thinking that Im one of the loosers who just do chest all day and bicep curls :(

I didn't mean just for chest days, I meant every time I go to the gym, I can't wait to go :o

Besides people should be able to tell you're more than just a chest and bicep monkey :D Most people ask me for help and advice which is nice but kinda gets dull after a while when you just want to get on with your workout - besides I'm not an expert really, I just know what works for me.
 
I love training chest and biceps, probably be two favourite muscles to train.

I still train every other muscle just as often and as hard though :)

I can't be bothered with an ipod - but yeah focusing and concentration does help keep people away :p Fortunately for me, me and my spotting partner are 2 of the biggest lads at our gym so people tend to know who we are and leave us alone - it's actually quite cool to be "known". Am I sad?
 
I'd love to video a whole one of my training sessions and post it to get a critique, but it's just not practical / cool to get someone to stand like a lemon for forty minutes pointing a mobile phone at you! Maybe I can sneak one into the corner spy-cam style ;).

I bet you'd all have a good laugh, especially at the bit where I can't clean 60kg + bar for my front squat :(. "Luckily" I'm failing after 4 x 8 at 50 + bar so it's not a problem yet.

First time I read that I thought you were the one standing round for 40mins like a lemon............or are you?? :p
 
id urge caution with that mentality, easy to go overboard! but enjoy the bulk, i know i do :D

I love food allways have :D never put any fat on :/ been eating like a horse and still no fat, but progressing nicely :)
 
Alright lads! Didn't know whether to post it here or not, but i don't really want to make a new thread :p

I'm wanting to start hitting the gym, so i was just wondering if anyone could help me here or talk to me through email me or something? I've researched a lot about it and I'm really eager to get started. I basically was wondering if anyone could help me go through a diet / routine / what supplements to buy etc.

I know it's a big ask, but I'd really like to get some good advice from someone experienced and there seems to be a lot of people here who are very knowledgeable about the subject.

Really depends on what you want to achieve, are you looking to gain strength, bulk, lose weight etc is it for sports? :)
Have you read through the GordyR's sticky topic? That might be the best place to start and then people can help you adjust to suit you better.
If you want more specific stuff then you'll have to ask more specific questions ;)

I can think about it all day long but that doesn't mean my gym is going to provide one :p. Only current alternative is a smith machine.

Lol :D I hope not, though it might look like that sometimes to an onlooker as I wonder HTF I'm going to get the bar onto my shoulders!
