Sounds like an orgy! lol!

I'd be far too intimidated around Alex - he's a monster!!!

However even just for a pint or a chat it would be good to have a get together I reckon. :)

Though I hear there is talk of possible meet that KP mentioned.

This is something that really annoys me, the whole 'we shut at 10pm so don't come in past 6pm' lol attitude they have over there!! It's just the lazy workers wanting to getaway early, should be stop working out at 10pm, not lights out!!
Cannons (one I've been too) was pretty useless when it came to weights :(
Good job the gym here is 24 hours :p

yeah, most cannons seem to be the same. its only the crawley one that seems to break this mould. lots of benches, lots of static press setups, lots of machines, loads of DBs, plenty of weights and oly bars, 2 leg presses (plate loaded) 2 squat racks :D
nice big area for it all. quite shocking for a cannons!
 
Alex is scarily strong.

My tricep dips are up to 8x25KG and chest dips at 5x40KG.

I think it'll be time for a week off shortly and the girlfriend has done me the favour of spreading a cold, it's not really bothering me at the moment so hopefully it wont get worse.

Unsure what sort of routine i'll be doing next. I'm in two minds about trying HST again, or going for another full body routine but HIT style...

There's just so much I want to tryyyy ha-ha.

I sometimes like not having a training plan and just winging it - not good for achieving certain goals though :p

I'm hurting after my week off! Feels great :D Can't pick anything up, even opening doors hurts lol! Then again I did push myself to 90% of my 1RM and just caning as many reps as I could out :o I love pushing myself till I break :o
 
Makes for interesting numbers when totalling it up doesn't it :D

I had never considered it before, but after totalling my chest routine this week, i was mighty shocked!
easy way to up that for me though, get dipping more haha :D



must have been a bloody good workout actually, DOMS kicked in yesterday and can still feel it on the outer heads!
 
Haha, know the feeling on dips. The lighter guys have it easier on these until they start adding weight. I saw the other post with your chest workout in, that's a whole lot of weight for chest!

Try adding together one of your back or leg workouts, then it gets a mental.

I always get bad DOMS in my chest, particularly bad this week, had to start with flyes as I couldn't get at a barbell bench or heavy enough DBs for pressing.
 
Am feeling it today, did an olympic lift complex last night
60kg: Deadliftx5, hang cleanx5, front squatx5, push pressx5 (no rest between)
Rest and repeat.
Did 9 sets.
 
Morba you use to train at the 24hr gym in swindon? I go there now :D Awesome gym imo. Staff are decent the gym is well equipped its always clean/tidy and I dont have to wait for machines. Plus the fact its 24hr meant I could go after work on the late shift at 1230am ;)

Get in, just managed a 140kg bench, albeit a bit shakey and took me a few attempts, but it was up completely unaided and down nice and slow and controlled. \o/ :cool:

Still stuck on 190kg deadlifts, but I blame the 5x 6x 150kg squats I did on Thursday :p

Do many people do a HIT routine? I have been doing frankie NY 5x5 for a while now and will be due a change soon. Considering doing HIT as it seems to be quite popular and gets good praise.
