Ford Mustang to be released in EU

Like many people I had my email from my local Ford rep who confirmed they could take deposits. I've got the request form sat in my email but as they won't have one for a while to look at and even then said it won't be available to test drive I will just be waiting.

Strangely my spec choice seems similar to many in Magnetic Fastback with Ebony, Parking Sensors and the Shaker upgrade. I don't want vented seats so stayed away from the pack.

I'm keeping in touch with my dealer but until I can at least see a car and drive it down the road for a test I cannot put a £1k non-refundable deposit down. Too much to do this year to tuck money away. I was also given a date of Q1 2016 for delivery at earliest too so plenty of time to make my mind up. Who knows I might even pick up a 3 month old one that someone bought or even a cancelled order closer to the time.

Envious of those who can put the money down on reviews only but I just can't take the risk. Cannot wait and if it is as good as expected then my order will be in as soon as I am happy!

If you are genuinely looking at spending big money on a car like this but want a test drive why not fly to America and rent one - I'd imagine they'll start showing up at rental firms later this year.

Plus you get an epic holiday out of it too.

Holiday's for the year are already booked unfortunately and convincing my wife to fly us both out with the child for another isn't going to happen. I like the idea though!

Wouldn't it be better to wait a few months for the second revisions to start being produced?

That's what I'd probably do (not that I can afford a new one anyway) but Ford are meant to be introducing SYNC 3 later on this year and I'd like to see when the new 10 speed automatic comes in.

This is a tough choice. A used XFR or a Mustang. Looking forward to seeing this in the flesh. I will probably end up waiting for a used Mustang TBH. :D

Seriously tempted by this. Have always wanted a Mustang but didn't fancy LHD.

Same here. This car calls to me. I'm just trying to muster up the willpower to drop £35k on a car, because before I heard about this, I was looking at sensible practical cars in the ~£20k range.

Does anyone know what the waiting lists are like? If I ordered one now, how many years would I have to wait before getting my hands on it? :p

and ford told me that it was refundable and my car would be ready November/December.

Obviously im taking everything i read on the internet and from the dealer with a pinch of salt until such times as they have actually started to build the cars.

Hi there

Very happy with my choice of colour (magnetic) now I've had chance to look at a lot more pictures of it in different lighting conditions:

Gotta say think Ford have designed a pretty stunning car in the looks department. Cosmetically I will fit larger/wider silver wheels, lower it and fit some black stripes as per below images to get it exactly how I want it looking:

Stunning car with huge presence for sure. :)

This wallpaper really sells both the blue and magnetic:

I reckon they will be the most popular colours over here.

Yeah the blue is very nice, but I prefer magnetic and I don't want two blue cars either as the M3 is blue. For my second choice after magnetic is orange. But a set of Eibach or Steeda springs, some larger wider wheels and stripes will get it looking exactly how I want. Of course I shall enjoy it completely standard looks wise for a few months, only really mods planned on taking delivery is the Ford Borla racing catback system and a remap/intake to get it to around 460BHP from the stock 420BHP which will wake it up nicely. Over the pond they are seeing close to 500BHP NA with full exhaust system and map, that will do me. If in a year or two time I want more can either trade in against Shelby GT500 or fit supercharger kit which takes the coyote 5.0l to 650-700BHP. :D
