My GOD that looks good.

It looks like some sort of real-life version of a pipe-dream muscle car concept drawing.

Yep will be going for a very similar look/style, only difference black stripes down the centre with white edges. :)

Went to view a couple of Mustangs today:

They should be getting a couple more this month (2 manual PP-equipped cars, one in orange and the other in black) and eventually a GT350!

Did they suggest how much they would be selling them for?

The GTs around £43k but the GT350, no idea. It wouldn't be until much later in the year I suspect. The owner did say he was keeping the first one for himself .

They also do modifications so I imagine they'd be able to import parts from America quite easily. Handy having them local to me if I ever did get a Mustang...

More expensive than a uk car then...

Parts I import myself dealing with the American tuners is surprisingly easy and works out far cheaper but putting some uk middle man in the picture to his margin on. :)

Yeah the price is a bit of a shame but I guess people are willing to pay the premium to get the car asap and with the proper US Spec. The owner certainly knows his stuff though unlike Ford dealerships... He won't sell the UK spec RHD cars but will import specials like the GT350 and any others, such as the Shelby GT or the 50th anniversary edition.

Good to hear about dealing with tuners! I see a few on mustang6g have said they'd be happy dealing with anyone from the UK.

Where I live the V8 manual is 40,000 Euros (prices taken from the official Ford site here). So that's about $45,000 compared to around $35,000 in the US for the similar model.

Pretty damn good price when you consider all the import costs and taxes associated with getting a car over to Europe. I was actually suprised they are selling this low

Did they borrow the instrument cluster from 2002?!

What were you expecting exactly though? It looked fine to me, it has a bit of retro styling with a screen in the middle for more functionality.

Look fine to me too. Not sure how practical they are when you're sitting there trying to check your speed. revs etc, but I'd imagine they're fine?

Yeah it's fine, the picture was taken below where my head would be which may be why it looks odd but in reality the dials are perfectly positioned. The whole seating position is spot on in fact.

A somewhat retro interior is par for the course on these reimagined muscle cars. Given the cost of the thing versus what you get elsewhere (v8, independent rear suspension) corners have to be cut somewhere. Its the sort of thing most mustang buyers won't give a second thought to so long as it's legible. Its like the gt86 clock comments all over again...
