Ford Mustang to be released in EU

Saw a Mustang GT on the A3 the other day - it joined down here right at the start of the A3(M) and I eventually caught up with it about 15 miles up the road. I love how these things look, so damn good but was even better to see one in the flesh. Was surprised to see one down here - it was an HX15 plate so registered down here in Hampshire but didn't notice whether it was LHD or RHD. I'm assuming it would've had to have been a US import?

The more I am seeing the dark colours, the more I think I will love the Triple Yellow on order. Seeing the Black and Guard ones makes me confirm that I won't be requesting a change :D.

3 months of waiting down, 11 to go...

So you will get yours end of next year, does that mean you will get the new car tax systems standard rate, £140 a year, that would be cool for a beefy v8 :) after a pricey first year as it is under £40k, or is it the year after that happens.

Saw one in black in central ! VeefyBeefy looking tthing! Gotta say, at first I did not like the new 'stang but its been growing on me big time! 350 is my favourite !

Then again, Gibbos will look brilliant with all the mods that you're planning!

Hi there

My first parts arrived from USA, for items where I am only buy a small item or a single item from a single shop I have already ordered. For my larger deliveries I am trying to buy everything via just one or two shops and then having the shipment sent to my friend who lives in the US, saves a lot on shipping. ;)

So my first deliveries are:

Running pony rear decklid from http://www.newtakeoff.com/ which cost me $160 shipped/landed (£120 with taxes).

Packaging was superb and its brand new as promised, just a third of the MSRP from Ford direct. For me I do not like the huge round Ford GT / pretend filler cap that UK cars come with, it looks cheap.

Then for wheel spacers I was looking at the 1" (25.4mm) all round spacer for $150 from American muscle and even though hundreds of people are using these on the forum for over a year I was a little worried about what cut backs in quality were made due to their cheapness, though thankfully no reported failures from those running these 1" and 1.5" spacers from there, including track day use.

Still though 1" is fine in the front, 1" in the rear on PP wheels does mean the rear wheels ever so slightly protrude the bodywork unless you dial in some pretty aggressive rear camber.

As such I heard Lenny the owner of http://www.motorsport-tech.com/ who specialise in making custom spacers for race cars, off-road vehicles etc. in custom sizes with quality guaranteed. Again a few guys are running these spacers with no issue and being custom you can dictate the size. ;)

So mathematically the standard GT PP can go no smaller than 22mm spacer unless you start shaving some material of the stock nuts, which would not be easy to do and I don't actually want to go taking any length of my stock studs. So I had Lenny make me up a pair of front 25mm spacers and a pair of 23mm rear spacers. The quality is supreme and the shipped cost was $360, so twice the money of the American muscle but I've got truly exceptional quality spacers in custom sizing I wanted. These were £280 landed due to taxes. They take him 7-10 days to make and then about a weeks time to ship, they were $260 plus $100 shipping.

Those are my first parts to actually arrive and £400 spent on a car I don't even own yet, crazy I know! But hey I know how I want my car to look and I want to add my own touch to it pretty much the moment I get it along with a decent anti-theft system if they are as easy to nick as Focus RS.

Ford licensed 50yr white cue ball shifter landed. :)

Was worried it might actually feel to lightweight or plastic, but it feels good, not far of a pool cue ball. Got a couple of other types on the way as well, a Ford Racing Black and a heavyweight style one, I will the go with the one I like most and sell the other two on. :)

Looks great apart from the flipping shopping list under the mirror. Why people feel the need to put that crap on their cars I will never know. At least with this one the items are actually there though.

Yeah spotted this car, stunning, but not being able to find more pictures of it, you don't by any chance have more pictures or a link do you? I'd personally get rid of all the stickers and window tints, but apart from that looks great, even the strips look very good. :)

If I did go black wheels on grey, the silver lip is a must. :)

It's on the Magnetic thread http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7909&page=98 have not seen any more pics other than what's on the thread, might be worth posting and asking if he has more I take it you're Gibbo205 ?

Looks like TC Harrison in Peterborough have the RHD Mustang in the dealership this week but didn't feel like calling or mailing me to let me know....

Might have to pop down and have a look. They also say the V8 test cars are arriving soon so maybe test drives aren't too far away although I bet they don't call me about that either...

Infact following up decided to ring the dealer. They have a 5.0 convertible in stock to view but its static and their driving demo car is due around Christmas but will be a 2.3 Ecoboost so not really much use to me as a demo... They don't expect a 5.0 in for driving at all and have no update whatsoever on my car which whilst no surprising for a July-Sept delivery is still annoying.

Looks like to drive a 5.0 I will have to travel to another dealership which is a major disappointment on a purchase like this.

Hi there

More boxes arrived today, some rather large ones. :D

Corsa Sport exhaust with 4.5" polished tips, after watching 100's of video's it was down to Corsa Sport or Extreme. Sport is deep and holds it tone throughout rev range, is loud but not obnoxious. The Extreme is more exotic sounding but also raspy, I've got an M3 so I don't need any more rasp in my life. ;)

Packaging was superb and the deal I got was very good, all in sub 1k GBP even with shipping and taxes thanks to Shawn at Hypermotive, though GBP has weakened against USD more so for anyone else ordering now it will probably be over 1k plus the thanks giving sales have ended.

The entire exhaust weighs around 60-70lbs it is damn heavy but supposedly around 30-40lbs less weight than stock system. I really cannot wait not to get the car to fit this exhaust, it will sound bloody epic. :D :D :D

Now for some BMR suspension goodness:-

IMG_5223.jpg

Again Kelly at BMR Tech did me great prices and incredible price on shipping, here we have camber bolts which give upto -2.50 negative camber, I shall be aiming for around -1.75 negative camber once on the FRPP suspension as this is a road car, not a track warrior. :)

Then we have vertical links and cradle lockout kit, which do as explained in an earlier thread and for how little they cost is worth every penny. :)

Gibbo what dealers have stock mate?

Check on Mustang6G there is a couple of cars up for grabs, a competition orange fastback manual and a convertible black Auto. Both V8's! :)

They are at new prices however I think, so 37k and 40k respectively, but if you did not pre-order than not an issue.
