Fortnite - Gameplay Trailer

This is something of a contradiction, seeing as I created this thread, but I've requested a refund. I don't like the direction the game is heading in, and if I'm completely honest, I've scarcely played it since launch.
The addition of a Battle Royale mode was the straw that broke the camel's back. I've already been bitten once with Just Survive, which fell into obscurity after Daybreak decided to prioritise King of the Kill.

Im on it daily, only missed 2 days because i was away for a couple of days

TBH, every map is the same, resource, build, defend, repeat, but i still enjoy it

PVP mode is going to be free at the end of the month as a standalone product

Not played in a few weeks now, novelty wore off a little and it was starting to feel a bit samey. By no means a bad game though and will definitely fire it up again to try that PvP mode some time.

The new Battle Royale mode looks pretty good, and there's something about the cartoony shaded graphics that just works for me (I love the way Torchlight looks and this is very similar). I haven't got the game, and will probably wait a little while to see how much longevity it really has, as from some of the comments in this thread it doesn't seem to keep people playing for long. It's pretty laughable how the PUBG developers are thinking of taking further action against Epic for their creation of a Battle Royale mode in Fortnite. It not like PUBG is just DayZ without the zombies or anything...yep, it's a totally original idea that didn't borrow from anywhere else in the gaming world...

I think it was more to do with Epic mentioning PUBG in the advertising campaign for fortnite.

That was one aspect of their complaint. The others were these two: “Other companies will, of course, enter the marketplace, but I would just hope they put their own spin on the game mode and not just make a carbon copy!” and “The PUBG community has and continues to provide evidence of the many similarities as we contemplate further action.”

I'm sorry, but that's like saying that only id software can create FPS games. How else are we meant to get variance within the genres? I've never played neither PUBG nor Fortnite, but I've watched videos of all of them and PUBG looks more like a DayZ ripoff than the Fortnite Battle Royale mode does a PUBG ripoff. And, PUBG just looks grey, brown and washed out. Fortnite at least looks pretty vibrant and quite interesting.

Hi does anyone play fortnite battle royale?

I'm looking to team up with some regular players, none of my mates like it. I'm not bad so looking for some team mates to play regularly with.
