*** Forum Update - Official Issues Thread - Please check the OP for known issues ***

I've checked post 1, but I've not read the thread so apologies if it's been answered. It's also very possibly just a frustration for me and how I use the forum but...

I used to just come in to 'watched threads' view. This would show me any threads I watch that have new posts. Now, I have saved a filter on 'New posts' that shows 'watched content' with 'new posts'. Unfortunately this includes all threads in the 'watched forum' list. I watch a forum as I might want to watch a new thread in it, not because I want to watch every thread in it. Is this current way the intended way or can we go back to how it was?

Thanks :)

Sorry, I may have found a bug too. If I go into one of these threads, read it and use the back button, the thread is still there. Normal. I refresh the page... the thread is still there? Not normal.

I personally think adding likes is great though. I often want to thank an old post I've found without bumping the whole topic for no reason.
Agreed, and thanks for the uBlock tips, I use it but never thought of doing that

No it isn't bookface, but no they won't get disabled. They are no more of a troll feature, than numerous "+1" posts, or people replying with just a smilie in a new post. If anything they will clean up some of the ****posts, and it was decided the time was right to introduce the feature.

I can guarantee the likes will be used as a troll feature. For example there is already an RIP thread posted today, how long before people start using the laugh crying emoji on celebs they don't like just for a reaction etc. Or the angry face... I'm sure that won't be abused at all whilst adding no discussion as to why someone may be discontent. And unfortunately it's highly visible to users just scrolling through as well. I don't think this has been thought through.

Please tell me there is an option for individuals to completely turn off this like function?

That's a bit hand wringing, isn't it? Oh no, people may express themselves otherwise than in the medium of text, and in a way of which I don't approve no less! Really? It's just a button. At least the seventy billion +1 posts don't need to clutter up the forum any more. I think it's handy.

going to take some getting used to, clearly designed for tablets and pretty ugly on a desktop :S

How? It looks fine on tablets and desktop. The quoting aspect reminds me of AVForums in a way instead of quoting just text. It's a graphic box as well.

I only see three themes: Blue, black and grey. I don't see the green theme being mentioned. It just cycles between those three when I click on the palette icon on the top right by the search button. Am I doing something wrong?

No because to make a written comment about it involves committing to a perspective where you'll likely be quoted/challenged. Anyone can start trolling through 'likes' without being called out for it / having to respond. Just don't get what value it is supposed to add other than create echo chambers.

Use the theme picker at the bottom not the top.

Actually we didn't do as much testing on the mobile theme. The desktop version is much more polished.
@Feek Just saw the green theme and have switched to it. Thanks for making this a permanent addition!

:)

Go to the style chooser at the bottom left and you can select it from there. We'll get it added to the palette icon.

Not really. I think you're overthinking things a bit mate, but as always you're entitled to your opinion.
