I saw a user with a lady one earlier. They were a low post count though.

Correct. The Mary Corleone avatar is one of the lowest avatars as we tried to maintain the family structure / hierarchy of the Corleone family wherever possible.

There are exceptions in the set e.g. the inclusion of The Sopranos and Goodfellas etc but if you notice, all those avatars are also arranged in a more logical manner.

Unfortunately @darael is correct above. The avatars load in two stages on Firefox desktop, even with all extensions disabled. The placeholder text loads first, then the image (as per his GIF). Euw. Back to Brave for now I suppose, but please do fix this. <3

I personally think it's really good that there's female representation in the avatars at long last.

For too long OCUK was an old school, moth-eaten, stuffy 'traditionalist' place and it's been getting more progressive of late, which it's really good to see. I mean, female avatars are not a huge leap but it's certainly another step in the right direction.

For me, I think the text / background colour from when people quote people wants improving. The contrast is a bit weak between the yellow/blue-

With regards to the quote box. I don't really like the fact we have so many different shades of blue going on. It was always too much and hoped it would be more sleek but the quote box background and header bar could just be one solid colour instead of two since the person quoted is in yellow anyways. Same principle in the other colour options too. It also really doesn't need a blue line down the side either in my view. This to me is much cleaner, easier to read and looks more modern.

Quick edit showing two post with boarder and quotes in to compare.
