Incar would be fine if incar actually did not minimise your view. When your driving do you focus on your steering wheel and dials or whats outside the windscreen?

I disagree. while PGR3 incar view was very gimmicky (I never could stand using it), many other games pull this off properly and give a much better racing experience. True I've never seen a console racer manage it, and the decision to not include it in Forza 2 is probably down to with its market.

A lot of servers on PC racers lock the driver into the cockpit view, personally I like this a lot but I'd agree many people probably find it uncomfortable to work with.
 
 
Great vid here. Superb demonstration of the audio (outside car view to begin with where you can really hear the rasp of the exhaust - note how different it sounds in car when the view is switched).

Also good demonstration of each view (outside, bonnet and bumper).

I know its a really really really small detail and one thats sometimes overlooked, but i hope UK pal'ers aren;t forced into KM/H display instead of MPH! :(

Thats looking good but I'll miss the pressure sensitive bars to indicate acceleration that GT4 had. Its a nice touch for anyone stuck on a joypad. Slamming the brakes full on is a bad move obviously and no lsd on an AC Cobra will be hard to control without feathering the throttle

Looks like an extra menu will give this as an option ? but will also add other unwanted on screen clutter at the same time

Yeah bit of a shame, I bet this demo will be used to pimp the Marketplace blade that is being added with the dash update.
