Forza 2 latest Update and Demo Discussion Thread

Unless they have a separate version for the wheel then I guess its going to work just the same as a pad, I am sure I read the MS wheel is not FFB like on PC sims but just rumble motors and a strong spring to give it tension.

Anyway if Turn10 finally deliver a demo we can soon all see how it is.

The Wheel is full FFB, as demonstrated in PGR3 and TDU other games (NFS etc) it is just the motors keeping it centered. A
lthough i am considering getting mines replaced before FM2 comes out as it sits off center, if they would give a date for the demo i could decide around that!

Have to say so far I'm really impressed by the wheel. Until there's decent software (such as the demo) to test it with it's really hard to compare it against a PC wheel such as the MOMO.

Maybe you can point out the video which leads you to think the noise is overused.

eh them all :)

sounds are a crucial part of giving feedback from the tyres, so turning it down is not an ideal thing to do, and it wont change the fact the tyres seem to lose grip the minute you turn the wheel.

With regards to the tyre noise I think that was just the effect of people playing using the full lock to full lock, always 100% throttle method with FWD cars.

I found myself thinking about what region and car I was going to start with when I was trying to get to sleep last night :o

ITCHY FINGERS!!!!

"What do we want?" "FORZA DEMO" "When do we want it?" "NOW!" *repeat to insanity*

let's not move away from the bigger issue, after all it's only Tyre Noise, with the ability to turn it off. It seems as though any little thing at all is jumped upon and stamped on by a couple of members

The point you failed to see was that if your driving correctly, turning in on time and applying the brakes and power accordingly then you WONT hear the noise, drive outside these limatations and you will hear it lots.

Saying your a big PC Sim man and keep reminding us about PC sim superiority i look forward in beating you on the upcoming timetrials...

Oh btw thats a challenge...

Cleared space for mine, damn i want it to arrive today to compare my times on PGR3 just to see and feel how different the wheel is even though PGR3 isnt fully configured for it, have you found it hard to get within your best pad times?

To be honest I haven't really checked times. The time I spent on PGR3 a while back was really dedicated to getting through achievements, having fun online. I haven't checked the difference in laptime directly but I should be able to later.

What I did notice is that the handling is a lot better, especially with the more powerful cars. Probably the most immediate difference in PGR3 for me is not having to 'fight' the joypad to keep the back end of a powerful car in line round the Nurburguring. Instead, the control seemed a lot more natural.

OK thanks,

Could you spend sometime trying the F1 course as its got some tricky bends and braking, would appreciate if you compare your times on that track..

Thanks for the info regards the wheel and car handling.

Well thought i had a picture of the Mugello Short Circuit the DEMO is reported to use.

No its not just tyre noise, well unless your saying the physics engine is not connected to the sound engine?

Drop what you numpty? we are debating the tyre noises, and are they tied into the physic engine, which is kind of an important issue, feel free to let it go over your head though, who is he? I take it you mean Mr Latte, sadly I am not even replying to him, so at least try and be right before launching into a bitchfest.

Drop your insults keyboard warrior.

My 206 used to squeal like mad when I bought it, and its hardly a capable car. All round the tight B roads, on the old tyres it used to chirp round every corner. Forza isn't that bad and I've been playing it non-stop for a month or so, but the GT series is terrible for it.

The arguing over this game is getting pathetic, now your going at it over yet another aspect, which will probably turn out to be quite a minimal issue (if it even is one!)

Mr. Men do you have to resort to acting like a 7yr old on every post?

JUMPURS is probably sick (like the rest of us) at hearing you whine on about tyres. So you don't like the way its handled, the rest of us don't have a problem with it, and I haven't seen anyone who's actually played the game in a preview crying over it either.

JUMPURS was wrong about banning FM2 threads though. It's you who should be banned from participating in them, at least until you can speak civilly.

so how about you dont enter debate? If none of you responded to my tyre concerns then I would not reply to your counter response, so maybe I am sick of you whinging on about me and my legitimate concerns, did you even play FM1? if so then you know why....same thing in that game.

Seriously debate, or shut up already
