I'm sure there must be some, it doesn't look 'rough' enough for there to be none at all.

I just found his quote.Gerard said:So much for peter moores bs of "the age of jaggies is over".![]()
PETER MOORE: So to create experiences that transform reality, well, that's really a lot to ask of any medium. To ensure that the next generation delivers, every game is built on what we call Essentials, a foundation of requirements every game must have before it can ship on the Xbox 360 platform. These essentials include a minimum of 720p high definition resolution to provide gamers with jaw-dropping visual clarity and fidelity. Many developers are already working on games in 1080i.
Every Xbox 360 game will be designed for high definition widescreen television and will support 16x9 aspect ratio to expand the storytelling canvas.
Let me just say very clearly: These games will also look amazing on standard definition TV.
In addition, Xbox 360 games will provide anti-aliasing that gets rid of what we call the jaggies. Well, you know what, with Xbox 360, the age of the jaggies is over, superseded by smooth, lifelike visuals of cinematic quality.
Look carefully, the AA is there but the reflections and specular highlights are NOT anti-aliased, hence wherever the reflections or highlights meet the edge of your car, it appears to be badly aliased. Look at a dull part of your car (not heavily illuminated or reflecting contrasting images) and you'll see that some degree of anti-aliasing does exist.

If the point had antialiasing then it wouldnt be a point at all!Darkaber said:Agreed no need for another thread for this,
whats the point??

Turn 10 have banged on about 60fps so much, anyone would think they were magicians who had achieved something miraculous... rather than it simply being par for the course (or should be) and something which the Playstation 1 was achieving in racing games about ten years ago![]()

I'm a game player. You keep apologising for substandard crap, I'll keep saying how I think things should beTeletraan-82 said:How do you know, are you a game dev?

No, that was a general comment about people who are habitual apologists for mediocre games or aspects of games. Although yes, it does look like Forza 2 is below what it should be, in a number of respects. Graphics is one of them.Teletraan-82 said:And you think Forza 2 is 'substandard crap'?
Let me make it clear what I am saying because you seem to have misunderstood.PaulStat said:So you think it should be possible to get full AA and 60fps with the current gen?
Do you KNOW it's possible? What if the devs did actually push it as far as it would go?
