Forza 5 Announced

Looks like I'm getting Forza 5 and no console! Microsoft Store just cancelled my order due to an unknown credit card problem.

Grrrrrrr! :mad:
 
They were unable to withdraw money from me due to my bank. They just stated that I need to make sure they can in the next ten days. :rolleyes:

Yeah, I got the same message. Card expires at the end of the month, so activated the new one earlier then went to change the payment details.

States you get 4 retries, got 1 then this :

Ouch Magicboy....Did you not get the e-mail that mentioned something about 'card expiring soon'? If so did you give them a ring in regards to that? When I spoke to the lady she said it was a 'generic' message send to all pre-order customers to ensure their details are correct and up to date as they were going to begin processing the orders...

Edit...Ah looks like you did. How on earth did all that mess happen just a few days before launch...My god it's as if someone doesn't want you having an X1 :p

Tried them on Twitter, getting fobbed off. Guess who I'm calling at 9am tomorrow...
 
Microsoft Store

(as mentioned above...) ;)

Not the first time I've had hassle with them. Ordered a points card off them a while back and it went missing in UPS' hands. Refused to deal with UPS on my behalf or issue a refund. UPS just messed me around. Ended up with a dispute logged via the card issuer ... all for £20. Muppets.

Microsoft store were a pain for me. I couldn't place an order with them for love nor money. My card just wouldn't go through. I checked with the bank and they could see that I'd tried 30+ times and it was a problem on MS's end... even speaking to an advisor and getting him to try to do it failed. I had to buy elsewhere in the end.

Perhaps going into Game on launch day? A lot of people seem to be suggesting that. If that doesn't work I noticed this site is promising delivery for the 29th of November which I know isn't ideal but it's the best I could find right now. Let me know if you want the link...

Try places like John Lewis or Argos, ones that people wouldnt think of trying - definitely try JL as I swear on their website I couldnt see a way to preorder. Also regional stores like Smyths Toys that arent all over the country and membership stores (Costco)...
