Looking at the early footage there was a lot more dropped than just the 3D crowd.

It looks to me like they made an amazing looking game on the dev kits aka a PC but then ran the game on an actual console and said oh **** its lagging big time, lets chop loads out and sell it anyway.

Before you say troll blah blah blah, Ive got Forza 5 and the console on pre order as the retailer failed to ship on time.

Im just not impressed that when we finally get our hands on the game all is not what it seems.
 
It is what it seems though. It's a driving game. You drive cars. I've been playing driving games for over 20 years and never once did I think "oh, the crowd looks a bit ****". So long as the sensation of driving is good then I don't care what else is going on.

They did what they needed to do to get the game to run how they wanted it to run. Happens all the time and it will happen again. /shrug

Liking what I'm hearing about the AI improvements too. Really good news.
 
its the only way they could have held 60fps at 1080. Many people said it a long time ago, myself included, this gen of consoles didn't aim far enough with regards to hardware.

720p and calling it next gen lol...come on, its already embarrassing enough for these consoles that aimed for a dated resolution and still cant even hit it unless upscaling and cutting back on visuals.
 
Had a blast on this last night and came away feeling a bit meh and slightly disappointed. Don't know why, but I felt Forza 4 was a much better game over all. Graphics wise, it's just a step up, at most, from the previous game (looks good don't get me wrong), butI certainly didn't come away thinking 'wow that's next gen that', it just didn't have that sparkle like the previous games, or offer that next gen feel. I'm sure with the next Forza, things will be much better, I hope!

I'll score it 6/10

But it's becoming quite clear that Xbox One doesn't have the GPU power for 1080P with next gen graphics, even AMD themselves target 1080P resolution with 32 ROP cards, Xbox One has only 16.

720P upscaled with next gen graphics would look a lot better than 1080P with last gen graphics.
 
quick q, in multiplayer can you create a custom race on any track with all AI drivers and then give the AI your own tuned cars to race against? could'nt do this in FM4 can only race against stock/standard cars.
 
oh wow so none of the current Fanatec wheels will work with xbox one or forza 5, that's a serious kick in the balls.
 
there is a madcatz and thrustmaster wheels coming soon i think though, the madcatz wheel looks good but the thrustmaster wheel will prolly be good, pricey though :(
 
Well I want a wheel that will work on the Xbone and PS4 so hopefully Fanatec will do something soon.
