It's news to me.

PS support was always more open as they use standard USB protocols, unlike the 360. Wheel support was pretty much down to the developer I think on the PS3.

It's called Forza Rewards.

FM3/FM4 gave you free stuff based on player level and achievments in the previous titles save games. They can't do that with a new console so they utilised the cloud. You get a tier assigned based on the gamerscore accumulated across FM2/3/4 and Horizon.

Each month, if you go to www.forzamotorsport.net and login, there is a reward section now.

You just click to redeem your gifts (money and cars)

The Tier you're in depends on things you've completed in previous Forza games + now Forza 5.

The rewards stack so the higher you are the more you get gifted each month.

I didn't know about this, just got 70K credits for Forza 5 :) Looks like a big jump tier 4-5 but should do it after racking up some time on this game
 
If you setup a private lobby and change the body type, there are these options with no available cars.

So it looks like some future DLC or Expansion Packs will include:-

- 1960's Grand Prix
- 1980's Grand Prix
- 1990's Grand Prix
- American Stock Cars
- Early GT Racing
- Early Prototype Racing
- German Touring Cars
- Pre-War Grand Prix
- Pro Stock Drag Racing
- Racing Trucks
- Sport Trucks 1
 
With all this paid dlc you would think ea were behind this. People putting up with this after shelling out for the game are only going to perpetuate the issue.

Ye game companies are getting quite greedy. Games are €65 in Ireland thats a lot of money to pay for a game in the first place add DLC and u are doubling that on some games. Instead of making DLC they should put those resources onto new games imo.

Agree with this, really good game but it has far too much stuff missing at the moment so we can only hope that the rest of the game will come in patches and DLC.
 
Wow, just reading about the token packs in this game to cheat your way to the best cars, the cars cost about $60 each to buy with real money. All in there is about $1600 cost in real money if you bought all the cars that way.

The F2P aspects of this game annoy me a lot. No prize cars anymore for winning races is crap too

Damn, never knew this.

I'm tier 3 and 200pointx off tier 4.

Wish I knew earlier, I'd have put some more time into forza4 before 5 came along.
 
Id just like to apologies... it seems my Drivatar is slightly too realistic and therefore a damn maniac. :)


Also, im tier 4, and only a couple of hundred points away from tier 5... I wants free cars.

I was about 300 points off Tier 5, I got to Tier 5 today.

I just went on to the reward site and it let me redeem the Tier 5 80k for November (already redeemed my Tier 4 earlier this month), fingers crossed the P1 turns up when the other gift cars do!

Tried bumping up the driveatar difficulty, all that seems to have happened is the cars got far more aggressive, leading to some carnage in the opening lap. Has anyone else found this? Can't remember what difficulty it was but it's the one that gives 20% bonus
