Something that did confuse me was I would see the leading pack using the same car. So I buy that car. And Forza won't let me re-do that race with that car! :confused: Couldn't work out how they managed to race with that car and I couldn't. :(
 
Shouldn't the Audi RS7 (I'm assuming that's the car on the cover) be exclusive to this edition but I see no mention of it? Why have it on the cover then? Wouldn't it be safe to assume that if you're going to have a limited edition of a game and place a certain car on the cover, that car must be only attainable by purchasing this particular edition? Not that I'm bothered either way just thinking out loud. Thinking back to Forza 4's limited edition it had the BMW M5 as the cover but it was available as standard. Limited editions just got a paint job as far as I can remember, perhaps it'll be the same with this.

Just to confirm, the Steelbook edition on the Game website is indeed the limited edition, for £60. That price I can justify, so got my order in :)

Oooh. I've pre-ordered in store but not sure what version. Will make sure to upgrade to the LE if need be then!

Well if you pre-ordered several days back at the least then, it's definitely the day one edition of the standard edition game as this was just announced yesterday!

There wasn't a price attached to it when I pre-ordered so figure it's worth checking rather than just assume either way, which is pretty much what I said in the earlier post while expressing my general enthusiasm for the future LE. :p :)

Nice. :rolleyes: I just love exclusives that give us consumers competitive prices and a range of choice. Oh well, I'll be ordering from Game then.

Where's the best place to order an Xbox One from? Just pre-ordered from Amazon, not 100% sure I'll get it on release day. :( Guess I've left it too late to order and expect to get it on release day? :o
 
I've pre-ordered mine from ShopTo (Day One edition as well), and as yet they haven't said anything about any potential shortages regarding release day consoles, though I imagine it's not something they'd advertise. Your best bet would be to contact them directly. They're pretty active on Twitter and they have a good contact form on their website :)

I pre-ordered an Xbone from Amazon a earlier in the week and have just received an email saying my order has been 'changed' to a day one edition from the standard one. Sounds like MS limiting the 2013 launch release to a small number of territories has freed up more consoles for the UK launch.

The email from Amazon seemed to imply they'd have stock to send on release day so I live I'm keeping my finger crossed I wont have too long to wait!

Ah, interesting. :) When I first went to the pre-order page it said orders after 15th August wouldn't be received at launch date but when I pre-ordered that little box went. Guess I'll find out when I'm likely to get mine when the launch date is announced and Amazon can inform us of our expected delivery dates. I suspect I might have left it a bit too late though. :(
 
I dont think i'll bother with the Limited Edition of Forza 5 (assuming VIP will be available on the marketplace), as it's only 5x built and painted cars from the standard edition.

Car tokens, stickers and a steel case dont interest me.

The most useful thing from Forza 2-4 LCE versions was the auction house bonus for me as i could earn millions very quickly when the game was released + the exclusive cars, as there are no extra cars and no auction house in Forza5 LE i'll save money.

Yeah, I think the VIP membership will be available afterwards, but as it's going to cost $19.99 (so maybe £15?), its only costing me £5 extra over the Day One edition to get the LE, so it's worth it for me.
