Forza 5 Announced

Looks like Bathurst is in Forza 5. If you've never played it before you're in for a treat. Amazing track!

Awesome! I think the last game I played that had bathurst was back on the PS2. Guessing by them sponsoring an Aussie V8 they will still be in the game too which is a match made in heaven.

Forza is really making me want to pick up an One earlier than I was planning to :(

TOCA 2 was the last time I played it, which (I just checked) came out in 1999! Can't wait to see how it plays in Forza 5.

This is starting to look amazing. Always loved Forza. Haven't had a console since i sold my xbox just under a year ago. Saving myself :)

Everyone loves being rewarded for doing something you love, so when the opportunity comes around to be rewarded for playing your favourite game it’s even better.

The Forza Rewards program tracks your progress across multiple Forza Motorsport games, starting at Forza Motorsport 2 and extending to recent games like Forza 4 and Forza Horizon. Your progress in-game translates to points which gives you access to different tiers and new rewards that can take the form of in-game currency, tokens and cars (also in-game).

If you’ve got a competitive streak, head over to the Friends Compare feature in Forza Rewards, where you can see how your Forza Rewards points totals stack up to every other Forza player on your Xbox Live friends list. With the upcoming release of Forza Motorsport 5 exclusively for Xbox One, Forza fans will have more points to earn, new Tier levels to achieve, and more rewards to earn on a monthly basis.

Sounds good to me. Rewards for past game experience sounds like a winner :)

do you think the logitech g25/27 will work with new box?

Not a cat in hells chance I'm afraid. I only say this because we have seen Turn 10 use Thrustmaster gear at the latest gaming conventions. People who paid a lot of money for fanatec gear that worked with 360 won't work with the one. Even though it carries Forza branding. Annoying to say the least.

Has MS ever said why they cant support those wheels, including the X360 specific ones? Somebody must have got an answer out of them...

It will be interesting to see what the rewards are like for Forza5.

I'm currently tier 4 a few hundred points from 5.

At the moment i get a unicorn car, random car and cash (120k the last time i think) on forza 4 and forza horizon each time.

the next tier last reward got 2 million credits and 3 million credits in forza 4 and horizon + i assume all the rewards from the lower tiers.

It should make for a good start in Forza5.

Anyone know if the VIP version will be available as digital download on launch?

I've got my fingers crossed, but it took quite a while until it was available for Forza 4 iirc.

TOCA 2 - That was it! Well remember sir. Strange to think why it hasn't made it into more racing games being as it a well known and respected curcuit. Break out an R32 Skyline and it will be early 90's all over again :D

Didn't MS fall out with Logitech over something which is why they never made the xbox support their wheels. It was something I read about years ago when I bought my xbox but don't know how true it ever was.

I wish (with these digital downloads in the future) Forza 5 would let you 'upgrade' your standard edition of the game to the LE one. So free game code in box, then an option through the dash to upgrade to the LE version (obviously without all the physical tat that comes with it).

Think that rings a bell, though doesnt explain why the F4 wheel and MSs own one cant work :(.

I was pretty excited when I saw the free Forza offer, but knowing Id need to fork out a wheel replacement just adds costs I dont want to spend

Not to go off topic but TOCA 2 was an incredible game but its a shame the AI was so in favour of the laguna and the A4. Unless you were in one of those you had a hard time wining races.

Back to Forza 5 I would love if they could have better endurance races in the career mode. I think it was Forza 3 you had to do some races over an hour with proper tyre derogation and pit stops, it really added another dimension to the game rather than the usual 3/4 lap sprints from the back of the field.

Speaking of sprinting from the back field, can we have some sort of qualifying so that if you set a good lap you get to start at the front instead of the back.
