Well I must admit - that wasn't too bad. Even my older age 7970M GPU managed to play this at a decent frame rate...

Forza on PC - what a time we are now living in..

This is the first video I've seen of this game, never looked until now.

Is it just me or does the water effect on the car look crap? sure it looks wet, but the fact that the water droplets dont move makes it look like a static part within a moving background.

That's only on the reply. I can confirm the droplets move on the in car camera really realistically, changing direction and speed based on your movements. The in car view is great in the rain, if a little difficult in some of the cars with restricted vision (the prototypes).

Just had my first taste of this and after about 20 mins it crashed with Nvidia driver stopped responding :rolleyes:

seems to run fantastic with everything maxed its just a pity it crashed

Could it be G-Sync that is the issue should it be turned off ?

Anyone tried a dual card setup and found it is making a difference? The windows apps seem to run as an expanded window so had concerned sli / xfire will be ignored.

My new 2nd card arrived today so want to give it a go

Had to give this a try and pleasantly surprised so far. i7 4790k, GTX 970 SLI, 16GB RAM and it runs beautifully at 1440p.

No idea what frame rate I'm getting but at high settings it's butter smooth. Also not sure if SLI is working either so can't comment on that so far but it does look beautiful, runs very well and also seems to be playing nicely with GSync.

Only had a few short races but the signs are good at the moment.

Only played this for a bit, but the real fun for me in the Forza games on Xbox 360 was tuning cars, making my own awesome graphics for them then racing in multiplayer! No multiplayer on this at the moment is a tad disappointing although it's a freebie for some reason so I can't complain, just hope they have some multiplayer patch ready for the future?

The game just refuses to play smoothly today. Doesn't matter what settings I use. I'm either getting massive, sudden stutters here and there or a constant feeling of low fps.

d/l a min ago, and it runs at a locked 30fps with me.. Win10 g-sync gtx980 i7 3770k

What am i missing? Didn't see anything obvious in the limited gfx settings.

Finally downloading! I had Comodo Firewall active AND Windows Firewall, disabled Windows and it works. simple things..

you need to go to Video options and change "Dynamic Optimisation" to Custom...you then have access to all the graphic options, change performance target to 60fps and done.

Thanks yes, done that and whacked everything up to ultra, and its silky smooth. But fraps for some reason doesn't overlay over this game, so can't see the frame rate... But its smooth as silk, so i'm all good. May of had a tiny piece of stutter during Brands during the rain, but it was literally for a micro second, so its all good.

I'm using dynamic and I've had a few stutters.. Its not breaking but its noticeable.

I think my laptop with a 7970M is just about done all it can - I keep meaning to upgrade and its getting closer and closer with each game I try.. : - )

Still - forza did look good for such an ageing GPU

They won't be patching this to add features or MP. Apex is basically a tech demo offered for free to get a variety of people (a lot new people to Forza) playing it on a variety of hardware configurations in order to get feedback. Remember they are 8 releases into this franchise and have only ever had to support 3 hardware configuration and 1 pad and wheel protocol.

What it will mean hopefully, is that Horizon 3 and FM7 come to PC.

Overlays are not working because of UWP.
